WWE is quickly motoring towards Money in the Bank. With less than a month to go, they’ve started filling in the participants for their traditional ladder matches. That being said, LA Knight & Zelina Vega are the latest additions to that list. During last night’s SmackDown episode, Knight defeated Montez Ford whereas Zelina Vega overcame Lacey Evans.

Even thought Vega’s triumph is equally important for herself, fans are more stoked for LA Knight. For weeks, they’ve been manifesting a push for him. As a result of his growing stardom, Knight was cheered like a babyface last night despite a heel on paper against Montez Ford. However, the crowd refused to boo the former Eli Drake, hating one-half of the Street Profits instead.

Just maybe, the management has decided to put a rocket behind LA Knight’s back. If true, they might get a real megastar out of the 40-year-old who’s probably going to lead the baton for years to come. Wherever that man goes, fans start chanting his name. That’s how much over he really is at the moment. WWE just needs to capatilize on the moment and pull the trigger on him.

Coming to their match, both men wrestled a proper bout. WWE ensured to give them enough time on the show and they delivered. During the closing moments, Knight pinned Ford holding the ropes, as the referee got blindsided and completed the pinfall. After the match, the former Million Dollar Champion placed a ladder in the ring and climbed to the top, just purposely avoiding to retrieve the briefcase.

If several reports are to be believed, Knight is indeed the top candidate to win Men’s ladder match. By doing so, he’ll ultimately unlock the hall ticket to a future World Championship opportunity. To an irony, the past Money in the Bank winners have not been able to maintain the concept’s prestige. However, this time around, they’re hopeful that LA Knight will eventually turn the fortunes and produce a magical cash-in whenever possible.

WWE has further announced 4 qualifying matches for next week’s SmackDown. That being said, for the men’s side, Butch will face Baron Corbin & Santos Escobar battles Mustafa Ali. As for women, Bayley will look to overcome Michin and IYO SKY is scheduled to face Shotzi.
