Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar have been feuding since the Raw after WrestleMania 39. Both have had two matches against each other and have an equal score. The details of their third clash have been revealed, and the potential winner is also being reported.

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022 at WrestleMania 38. His dreams were shattered when he lost to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39. Moreover, his problems grew when The Beast Incarnate attacked him in the next episode of Monday Night Raw.

Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that “Cody vs. Brock III” is set to take place at SummerSlam this year. The two are expected to clash for the final time and settle the scores, which are equal right now. Cody Rhodes won the first match at Backlash, getting a surprise pinfall over The Beast. However, in their second meeting at Night of Champions, Lesnar knocked Rhodes unconscious with a Kimura lock.

Meltzer also reported that Cody Rhodes is expected to win in the third meeting. This year’s SummerSlam will take place at Ford Field in Michigan on August 5th. The details of the match are being speculated on by the journalists, and there has been no confirmation from WWE yet. However, looking at the current storyline, The American Nightmare will eventually clash with Brock Lesnar for the final time in the feud.

The feud has been well-received by the audience, and both matches were acclaimed by critics and fans. Their match at Backlash was extremely violent, as Lesnar suffered heavy bleeding after hitting an exposed turnbuckle in the head. In the second match, Brock almost broke Cody Rhodes‘ arm, and Rhodes passed out, giving the victory to The Beast.

Cody Rhodes’ alternate plans for SummerSlam

As reported, Cody Rhodes is expected to wrestle Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. However, alternate plans are also being suggested that Cody Rhodes could revisit his rivalry with Roman Reigns. The two can have a rematch of the main event of WrestleMania, where Cody Rhodes lost to The Tribal Chief. However, the chances of it happening are very low.

This is because both superstars are currently involved in different feuds. The Usos are expected to have a match against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at MITB, taking place at the O2 Arena in London. The set-up for this was based on Jimmy Uso’s betrayal after months of tension among the family members.

It is highly unlikely that The American Nightmare and The Tribal Chief will face off at SummerSlam with very little build-up. However, if not at SummerSlam, the two will probably meet at next year’s WrestleMania in Philadelphia. The plans have not yet been confirmed by WWE and hence, all the speculation is being used to keep the fans excited.
