WWE released a bunch of superstars from their contracts recently. Matt Riddle became the newest addition to the list. The former RAW Tag Team Champion dropped this breaking news on his X. Riddle has been controversial for a long time. Many fans had foreseen his release. 

Riddle was released amid the budget cuts within WWE after its merger with the UFC. According to Fightful Select, Riddle did not appear backstage. One of the sources recently cited Riddle as having “burned through too many chances while in WWE.” He also had multiple drug suspensions, real-life heat with many superstars, and an incident at JFK Airport recently.

Matt Riddle took to X to announce his release. He thanked WWE for giving him the opportunity. He said, “I just wanted to inform everyone that I’m no longer with WWE. Thank you for the memories and opportunities.” Furthermore, the Original Bro also thanked his fans for showing him their love and support.

The Original Bro ended his message on a positive note. He claimed that the fans would see him very soon again. Riddle was in an ongoing story with Drew McIntyre on Raw before his termination. Within a short time frame, Matt Riddle accomplished a lot within WWE as he won the Tag Team Championships with Randy Orton and became a one-time United States Champion as well.

Matt Riddle received a new offer minutes after he announced his release

Riddle no longer holds a place within WWE. He was released moments before the SmackDown. His release has shocked a large part of the WWE Universe. However, moments after his release, former 205 Live superstar Curt Stallion advanced a new offer towards the Original Bro.

Curt Stallion replied to Matt Riddle’s announcement, saying, “Let’s team up again. This time in @noah_ghc.” Stallion mentioned Noah as a new place where the latter can team up again. The two had teamed up before, as well, in their days on Evolve.

The two superstars have similar looks. Therefore, the fans fancy them to be on a tag team. Matt Riddle has yet to respond at the time of writing this. It will be interesting to see if Matt finds a home at Noah or if he steps away from the ring for a while.
