When Sasha Banks and Naomi won the Women’s Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 38, they’d have never expected what’s going to happen in the near future. The two women went on to walk out of WWE, leaving their straps on John Laurinaitis‘ table. Banks and Naomi were disgruntled over the booking of the women’s division and decided not to stay. However, in a shocking update, it’s being said that Trinity fka Naomi might be returning to WWE.

According to Fightful Select, the current Impact Knockouts World Champion is expected to go back to WWE from the notion among those in Impact. The update has emerged on the heels of a rumored working partnership between WWE and TNA. Having said that, a recent advertisement has confirmed the rebranding of TNA pay-per-views to the PLEs, similar to what WWE has done.

Moreover, Triple H will make a major announcement this Thursday, and the fans are already convinced that it has something to do with Total Nonstop Action. Only time will tell what that’s going to be. Apart from Trinity, aka Naomi, reportedly coming back, there were rumors of the same for her former tag team partner, Mercedes Mone.

Despite being in heavy talks over a WWE contract, Fightful reported that the communications between the two parties broke down and the deal fell apart. In a follow-up by WON, it was said that WWE and Mone were far apart on money.

The former Sasha Banks’ asking price was astronomical and allegedly more than what Charlotte Flair recently agreed to a multi-year deal for. Even though it appears like Naomi would be back in WWE at any given time, Mercedes Mone’s expected landing spot is AEW.

What role could Naomi play in WWE?

Considering she might be returning to WWE imminently, there are a lot of things Naomi could do. First and foremost, she would automatically become a top dog in the women’s division.

However, she doesn’t appear to be someone resting on her previous laurels and would love to leave an indelible mark when she comes back. There is a possibility she might get factored into The Bloodline.

Even during her previous run with WWE, fans clamored for a Naomi heel run and her alignment with the Roman Reigns-led group. The fact that she’s married to Jimmy Uso would make her association with The Bloodline feel more natural. Also, with Triple H in the driving seat, she could expect a much better fairing than what she had under Vince McMahon.
