The Bloodline’s storyline with Sami Zayn’s angle is considered a quintessential piece of storytelling. As a result, Zayn gained popularity among the audience and became a fan favorite while gaining the compassion of the audience. But the internal disputes at The Bloodline were making his situation worse as he was being dominated. And recently, the Wise Man of The Bloodline, Paul Heyman, made a shocking revelation about the storyline.
Paul Heyman is a significant part of The Bloodline, where he manages the faction and especially The Tribal Chief. During Zayn’s time in the faction, Heyman had issues with Sami’s loyalty toward The Bloodline and treated him as a misfit. The Wise Man had some things to say to The Honorary Uce but the television didn’t allow him to put them forth.
While speaking on Tetragrammaton with Rick Rubin, Paul spoke of his favorite movie, ‘True Romance‘. Heyman was willing to refer to a dialogue from the movie with Zayn during any of his WWE segments. The dialogue is said by Gary Oldman, who played Drexl, asking his bodyguard, “It ain’t white boy day, is it?”. The Wise Man wanted that in his way, stating a proper build-up to it where he states it to Zayn.
Paul wished on saying this dialogue to Sami while it coincided with him perfectly, but he never said it as it had racial slurs. He explained he never meant it racially but in a metaphorical form where the white boy (Zayn) was not fitting with The Bloodline. Stating that it isn’t the day or neither will it be that he gets aligned with us.
The time when Vince McMahon asked for a favor from Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman is one of the best managers in WWE, with many superstars dreaming of getting paired with him. Well-known for his mic skills and intellect, he currently serves as a special counsel to Roman Reigns. Before working in WWE, Paul was in charge of ECW, which once filed for bankruptcy due to its financial problems.
Speaking on the Tetragrammaton podcast, Heyman spoke about the time when Vince McMahon asked him for a favor to join WWE. That time had seen Jerry “The King” Lawler quit the company and leave a vacancy for the commentator at RAW. McMahon asked Paul to leave his company and join WWE as a commentator.
Heyman did not want to go back on television, but the job position interested him, and he accepted the favor. He replaced Lawler and started commenting for RAW every Monday night alongside Jim Ross. This was his debut in WWE, and since then he has escalated a lot, making him one of the top figures in the company.
