WATCH: Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty, invites Snoop Dogg to receive the WWE Golden Title ahead of WrestleMania 40

Snoop Dogg shares a special connection with WWE and the wrestling industry. He has made many appearances on special shows like WrestleMania and SummerSlam, cementing his place in the 2016 Hall of Fame. However, it looks like his golden title was stolen by the Philadelphia Flayers’ mascot, Gritty.

WWE shared a post on X with Gritty posing with the title, saying that he won’t give it back. He invited the artist to come and take the belt from him ahead of WrestleMania 40. Snoop Dogg also made an appearance at the Showcase of Immortals last year. Hence, this would mark his second appearance in a row.

Snoop received the title from Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch at the WrestleMania Launch Party at SoFi Stadium in 2022. He even went on a tour with the title, but unfortunately, it was stolen. The belt had some new owners, as Guillermo from The Jimmy Kimmel Show found it. Then, around February, Pete Davidson also shared a picture with the belt. 

A few weeks ago, Snoop gave the title to the players of the Philadelphia Eagles to capture some pictures with the title. However, the NHL team’s mascot, Gritty, got the title. It will be interesting to see whether the legendary rapper will get his title back or not.

Although from the video, it looked like Snoop Dogg and Gritty had some beef regarding the stolen title, that’s not true. The Philadelphia Flyers’ mascot later clarified that everything is fine between them. 

Gritty posted a reply under the video and clarified that there is no beef between them by claiming that Snoop Dogg was his tag team partner. He seemingly got the title from the NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Seeing the number of funny appearances the Doggfather has made in WWE over the years, it won’t be a surprise if he shows up again at WrestleMania 40. It will be interesting to see whether Snoop Dogg responds to Gritty’s invitation to reclaim the golden title in the home of this year’s Grand Spectacle.
