Former Arch-Rivals to go one on one at Monday Night RAW, Will re-ignite the year old Rivalry

A former rivalry is all set to ignite again on RAW. Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins will square off against each other on RAW Tonight, WWE on FOX has confirmed. The two arch rivals were engaged in a heated rivalry last year as they literally went for an eye for an eye.
The seeds of the match were sown last week when The Original Bro Riddle cost Seth Rollins the United States Championship as he interfered in the match to distract Rollins and Lashley would ultimately be able to capitalise on the situation and was able to retain his title.

The Visionary returned the favour the same night when he interfered in a match involving Riddle and Rey Mysterio who were facing The Judgement Day but Rollins’ interference costing Riddle and Mysterio the match.
Their feuds were one of the best feuds of the pandemic era. Both are amazing athletes and masters of storytelling as well. Therefore WWE will try to bank maximum on this bout. Also, there are several possibilities that can happen after the match or during the match.
It is unlikely that WWE would start to rebuild the rivalry again, but the match can eventually play a major role in shaping up respective storylines for both the wrestlers. Rollins is currently engaged in a feud with Riddle, so one possibility is that Riddle might show up to Cost Rollins a high profile match thus increasing the intensity between him and Riddle.
Secondly, Mysterio is currently involved in a feud with his son Dominik who had turned heel at Clash At The Castle in a shocking move. Therefore, Judgement Day can interfere in the match to attack Mysterio to intensify the storyline further.
But , this could also lead to the formation of a third angle where Edge can make his return and save Mysterio from being attacked. As a couple of weeks ago Edge had suffered a knee injury while battling Dominik Mysterio on RAW.
Therefore it could be the perfect opportunity for him to return and take his revenge as well. Well only time will tell what the match holds for us as the two mavericks will clash in just a few hours from now on.
