The WWE Universe was devastated after the shocking release of longtime superstar Dolph Ziggler. Following his release, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair penned a heartfelt tribute to the veteran star.

Fans and several other wrestlers took to social media to celebrate the 19-year-long WWE career of The Showoff. Recently, Ric Flair joined them as he wrote an extended piece of message for the two-time World Champion. The Hall of Famer first expressed his regret for not keeping up with the latest talent layoffs.

A Leader, A Champion, And A Man Of Unquestionable Character,” stated the WWE legend, heaping praise on the 43-year-old.

The Hall of Famer went on to call Dolph Ziggler his close friend for the last two decades. He described him as a thorough professional and a man of unquestionable character. The Nature Boy concluded by saying that he is certain that Ziggler will be successful in every walk of life and looks forward to meeting him soon.

Apart from this, WWE veterans The Rock and John Cena also paid respect to the former world champion on their social media platforms. It symbolizes the gargantuan mark Dolph Ziggler has left on the Stamford-based promotion.

Booker T shares his honest thoughts on Dolph Ziggler

However, two-time Hall of Famer Booker T had a different opinion. Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, the WWE veteran reflected on the latest release of the former world champion. He said that Dolph Ziggler has been on cruise control for over ten years. Booker T made some baffling comments, saying Ziggler’s character became stagnant in the promotion.

“Dolph is one of those guys that never changed, he was the same guy all the time, just stayed his one character throughout the whole time”, claimed the veteran. He further explained that The Showoff never reinvented himself and coasted along with the same character for years. Therefore, Booker T. believed that Ziggler became that guy employed to get other guys over.
