Ryback was one of the most controversial superstars during his WWE tenure. There were multiple incidents regarding him getting into backstage fights and tussles with his co-workers, including one with Brock Lesnar. However, The Big Guy recently spoke about the reported incident in which he supposedly got a black eye.
While speaking on his channel, Ryback TV, he debunked claims of any dispute with the Beast Incarnate. Instead, Ryback stated that Michael P. Hayes passed on the false information to Dave Meltzer. According to him, Hayes tried to hurt his credibility in front of the fans but ended up failing. Furthermore, the former Intercontinental Champion explained where his injury originated from.
While facing Camacho in a match at Over The Limit 2012, Ryback was inadvertently hit close to the left eye by his opponent. Despite that, the 41-year-old revealed that everything was fine between him and Camacho. “It was in that time that Michael Hayes leaked that lie to Dave Meltzer, and it was just funny because me and Brock always got along really well,” he added.
Finally, Ryback claimed that it was WWE’s higher-up attempts to halt his push. Moreover, it represented the “Ryback vs. WWE” narrative behind the scenes that allegedly took place. As many might know, he was one of the biggest fan favorites during his initial run on the main roster. In his first year on the main roster, The Big Guy ended up in the WWE Championship picture on multiple occasions.
Ryback comments on Nia Jax’s return
Former Women’s Champion Nia Jax returned to WWE on last week’s edition of RAW. Straightaway, most fans were irate at the decision due to claims that she was an unsafe worker. Recently, Ryback defended the Irresistable Force on his channel, Ryback TV.
According to him, the Stamford-based promotion would’ve never brought back Nia Jax if any of the rumors about her were true. Also, The Big Guy pointed out that several top superstars, such as Samoa Joe and Seth Rollins, have unintentionally hurt other wrestlers in the past.
“WWE will take a talent and have them do dangerous things in the ring at times to have you guys worked up,” further stated Ryback. The 41-year-old proceeded to tell fans that they’re being worked up by the wrestlers on screen. Needless to say, it will take weeks to see how the former Women’s Champion’s second stint in the company plays out.
