Without a doubt, the power couple of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are among the biggest names in professional wrestling. From winning multiple world championships to headlining major events, they have accomplished almost everything in the WWE. However, a recent report has shed light on the state of their ongoing contracts.
According to Fightful Select, both Rollins and Lynch’s respective contracts are set to expire in June 2024. Moreover, there have been no discussions of renewal as of yet. Despite that, the Stamford-based promotion currently considers the pair’s renewal a ‘priority’.
As expected, the report has led to a lot of speculation from fans online. Furthermore, many believe that Rollins and Lynch will eventually extend their respective contracts. Also, the real-life contract situation can play an important role in the ongoing storyline between the Visionary and CM Punk. Needless to say, the WWE Universe can expect an intriguing road to WrestleMania 40.
Interestingly, Lynch and Rollins are not the only superstars whose contracts are reportedly set to expire soon. Previously, rumors suggested that Drew McIntyre and Sheamus were both due for contract extensions as well. However, the merger between WWE and UFC halted talks for extensions. Now, the Stamford-based promotion will have to work profusely to keep the top names in the company.
Seth Rollins claims that he “hates” CM Punk in heated confrontation on Raw
The real-life animosity between Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and CM Punk has been well documented over the last few years. The World Heavyweight Champion voiced his displeasure openly when the Second City Saint made a shocking return to the WWE. After weeks of subtle shots and teases, Punk and Rollins finally came face-to-face on the most recent episode of Raw.
After the Best In The World signed his Raw contract, the former Shield member’s music hit. The Cleaveland crowd witnessed a tense staredown while the wrestling community went into a frenzy online. Seth Rollins proceeded to call out the controversial superstar, terming him a ‘hypocrite’. Furthermore, he straight-up told CM Punk that he “hates” him.
Needless to say, this was one of Rollins’ best works on the microphone. At last, the Straight Edge wrestler declared that he was entering the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match, sending a warning to the champion as well. Interestingly, the event will mark a decade since Punk infamously walked out of the WWE.
