WATCH: Seth Rollins forced to address crowd hijacking Raw with ‘Rocky sucks’ chants

Following last week’s episode of SmackDown, Cody’s WrestleMania saga has become the talking point for every wrestling fan. Social media posts and comments are flooded with the ‘WeWantCody’ hashtag. It has now spread into live arenas and shows as well, as people chanted ‘Rocky Sucks’ on the latest episode of Raw. 

On the latest edition of Monday Night Raw, the current World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, called Cody Rhodes out for some answers. However, the crowd hijacked the whole segment with the ‘Rocky Sucks’ chants and didn’t let both of the superstars speak. The Visionary gave a rather funny response, saying he didn’t think he would ever hear this, referring to the wrestling fans booing The Rock.

After Cody won the Royal Rumble, it was clear that he wanted to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Title at WrestleMania. However, on last week’s episode of Raw, Rollins came out and tried to persuade him to challenge him instead of Roman. Later, Cody backed away from facing him and allowed The Rock to go after The Tribal Chief, ultimately angering all the fans.

The fans are taking this matter very seriously and clamoring for Cody to be inserted into his deserved spot at WrestleMania. The fiasco is very similar to Daniel Bryan‘s YES movement when the WWE Universe forced the Authority on-and-off screen to let him compete for the title. Subsequently, this led to one of the greatest moments of his career at The Grandest Stage of Them All. It will be interesting to see whether there is a repeat of the same this year.

Former WWE manager Jim Cornette expressed his honest opinion on Seth Rollins’ promo

Seth Rollins tried to persuade Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes to challenge him instead of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. He took several shots at The Tribal Chief by claiming he is not the top guy anymore and even said that his championship is a ‘poser’ title. Former WWE manager Jim Cornette shared his opinion on the promo, stating that it didn’t make sense.

On his podcast ‘Cornette’s Drive-Thru’, he asserted that Rollins taking shots at Roman made no sense. He further said Seth tried to make people believe he was a better champion than his former teammate. However, that is not the case at all.

The story [is] that Seth is trying to convince Cody to pick him instead of Roman. Roman Reigns isn't the guy anymore, I'm the guy. This is the title in WWE. No, no, it's not. He can't figure out any other way to say that Roman never shows up because he's too big a star and nobody can beat him, and he's got the real title. So they gave me this one because I work often and wrestle a bunch of people. How does that make sense?

Although Roman also brutally trolled Rollins on SmackDown last week. Hence, fans can expect to see the rivalry unfold in the future. It will be interesting to see what transpires in the upcoming weeks.
