The inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins appeared on Raw following the Night of Champions. However, Judgment Day confronted him and AJ Styles in the ring. They later battled in a tag team match in that night’s main event. The match recreated an iconic moment from 2006 with Rollins and Rhea Ripley.

The incident on Raw showed The Visionary deceiving Rhea Ripley by putting his arm around her at ringside. This moment had a resemblance to the Survivor Series 2006 moment where Shawn Michaels and Melina did the same. Pro-wrestling fans noticed it and went berserk. They called it a ‘jolt from the past’.

The 37-year-old told Rhea and Dominik Mysterio not to get offended. He even addressed The Eradicator’s real-life boyfriend, the AEW star Buddy Matthews. Rollins humorously said that he hoped his old protege Murphy wasn’t too offended. Buddy Murphy was with him during Seth Rollins’ Messiah gimmick when they took on Monday Night Raw as a tag team.

Without a doubt, the moment that transpired on Monday Night Raw has captured the attention of the fans. It made the older generation of fans nostalgic. It reminded them of Shawn Michaels and Melina. Rhea Ripley and Seth Rollins executed it to perfection.
