WWE superstars Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura have been at loggerheads for quite some time now. This rivalry has escalated in the subsequent episodes of Monday Night Raw. This week on the red brand, The Visionary accepted Nakamura’s challenge for a Last Man Standing match at Fastlane.
They have been feuding over the World Heavyweight Championship for over a month now. The bout between the two started when Shinsuke delivered a Kinshasa to Rollins while he was celebrating their tag team victory. Following this, they clashed at Payback, where The Visionary retained but suffered a vicious attack from the challenger right after the match.
Seth Rollins has been looking for vengeance and has been constantly calling out the King of Strong Style for a rematch. However, the latter decided to play games with the Champion. Shinsuke Nakamura went on to make Rollins impatient and drove him to his edge without answering.
This week on RAW, The Visionary asked Shinsuke Nakamura one last time to answer his challenge for a championship match. This led to the former Intercontinental Champion issuing a challenge for a “Last Man Standing” match at Fastlane. Nakamura vowed to crumble Rollins into dust. Following the episode of RAW, the champion broke his silence on X.
Seth Rollins took to X to say, “First ever LMS. Gonna scorch the earth“. He also attached the clip of his reply to Shinsuke Nakamura on RAW, where he told Nakamura,“You got it right Shinsuke, only one of us is walking out of there but it ain’t gonna be you.”
Seth Rollins becomes the No.1 wrestler as per Pro Wrestling Illustrated
Every year, Pro Wrestling Illustrated publishes a list of the top 500 wrestlers in the world. This year’s list was topped by the current World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, as he became the No. 1 wrestler in the world. He was previously listed as No.1 in 2015 and 2019, making this his third.
With this year’s list, Seth Rollins has tied up with John Cena for the most appearances in the top spot. The ranking is based on win–loss record, championships won, quality of competition, major feuds, prominence within a wrestler’s promotion(s), and overall wrestling ability.
This year’s list also has all three former Shield members in the top three spots. The fans of the Hounds of Justice celebrated this on X, mentioning The Shield’s dominance over all of wrestling. It is also interesting to note that Jon Moxley, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins topped this list in 2020, 2022, and 2023, respectively.
