Shayna Baszler is on the roll in WWE right now. Baszler, a submission expert is a threat to her opponents since her WWE debut. Shayna Baszler has managed to win the NXT Women’s Championship twice in her career and will now face for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Clash at the Castle Live event. Shayna Baszler won the gauntlet match on the August 5th edition of SmackDown. Baszler has got this instant push after Triple H became the Head of creative and before that she had only been involved once in a feud for the Women’s Championship.
Shayna Baszler has always been a heel since her debut a main roster. Shayna has impressed the WWE Universe with her in-ring ability and has been a decent mouth runner. Baszler was an MMA fighter before her pro wrestling debut. She has a 15-win, 11-loss record, having lost her past four fights before pursuing a pro wrestling career. Shayna Baszler has successfully transitioned from an MMA fighter to a WWE Superstar.
Shayna Baszler feuded with Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship in 2020
Shayna Baszler made her main roster debut in February 2020 and on her debut, she collided against Becky Lynch, during which she bit Becky’s back side of the neck and tore her skin off resulting in Shayna’s mouth smeared in Becky’s blood. Shayna won the Elimination Chamber match in 2020 to become the No. 1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36 but failed to win the match at the event. Shayna Baszler even participated in the 2020 Money in the Bank Ladder Match but failed to win it. Since then, Shayna Baszler competed as a tag team with Nia Jax and has won the Tag Team Championship 2-times with Nia Jax.
When Becky Lynch vacated the RAW Women’s Championship due to pregnancy in 2020, Shayna Baszler gave a backstage interview in which she labelled Lynch foolish for getting pregnant and giving up her title reign. Baszler referred to Becky’s unborn kid as a parasite and stated that she couldn’t accept the fact that Becky became the longest reigning RAW Women’s Champion and then gave the championship away due to her pregnancy. Baszler predicted Becky’s child would be a prick and questioned the father’s identity. All of this was part of the storyline, and we all know Shayna Baszler does an excellent job as a villain.
“How stupid do you have to be to get knocked up when you’re the champion? Here’s a fact – 10 out of 10 mothers will try to convince you that pregnancy didn’t ruin their careers. You’re trying to tell me Becky Lynch becomes the longest reigning RAW Women’s Champion and throws that all away just to house some miserable parasite? Imagine The Man – barefoot, fat, on the couch eating Bon-Bons. Yeah, that kid’s gonna suck. You know who the father is? I rest my case.”
Clash at the Castle will take place on September 3rd at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales.
