For almost three years, Roman Reigns and The Bloodline have been dominating the WWE scene. “The Bloodline of the Samoan Family” is one of the best wrestling stories ever told. It all started with Roman Reigns making his return with a new heel character, the Tribal Chief. However, after winning multiple titles, they were going a little stale in early 2022. In April last year, the story got even more interesting when Sami Zayn got included in the mix.

Sami Zayn experienced many ups and downs while attempting to join The Bloodline over the last year. After proving his loyalty, the Tribal chief made him an Honorary Uce in the family. However, things took a turn when Sami’s friend Kevin Owens entered the scene, and Sami had to constantly prove his loyalty. The story took a new turn when Sami was told to give his final test of loyalty at the Royal Rumble. However, Sami made his choice and hit the Tribal Chief with a chair.

After turning on Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble, Sami is officially out of the Bloodline. However, he got a massive reaction from the fans, and they want to see him in the main event picture. Sami has been on the main roster for almost 7 years now. He had a decent run in NXT as well, but the ongoing run is the best work of his career.

However, reportedly, WWE and Triple H don’t see Sami as a main-event guy who could dethrone Roman Reigns. Many people feel that after all he has done to make the story entertaining, Sami deserves the top spot. Looking at the fans’ reaction, WWE might change their thinking before WrestleMania.

On the recent episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns came out to address what happened at the Royal Rumble. The promo was hijacked by the crowd chanting “Sami” while Roman was talking. Roman was also going to talk about Cody Rhodes, but Sami Zayn attacked Reigns out of nowhere and also speared him. After that, Sami was going to hit Roman with a steel chair, but he got out of harm’s way.

Following the attack, Sami challenged Reigns for the undisputed Universal championship with a massive reaction from the crowd. However, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa got in the ring, and Sami got outnumbered. Solo put the chair on Sami’s neck, but before he hit him, he was stopped by the Tribal Chief. Roman then went on to accept the challenge to face Sami in Montreal, which is Sami’s hometown.

The match for the Undisputed Universal Championship is now official for the Elimination Chamber PLE. However, even with the Elimination Chamber being in Sami’s hometown of Montreal, Canada, Roman is unlikely to lose the title before WrestleMania. According to reports, the original plan for WrestleMania was to pit The Usos against Sami and Owens for the tag team titles. After what happened at the Royal Rumble, WWE will most likely stick with the original plans.

At the Royal Rumble, fans saw the cinematic end of Sami Zayn’s Honorary Uce character. Considering the reaction of fans after that moment, it’s so hard for the WWE to keep Sami outside of the main event at WrestleMania. Even after Cody wins the Rumble, there is still the possibility of Sami Zayn facing Roman Reigns at the Show of Shows. Considering Reigns has two titles that could be defended on two different nights.
