Getting injured is what a professional athlete avoids in order to achieve success. Recently on SmackDown, one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champion, Sonya Deville, suffered a torn ACL. She announced on Twitter that her injury period is indefinite. In recent weeks, WWE has lost big names due to injuries. It includes the likes of Kevin Owens and Liv Morgan.

The 29-year-old shared a video on Twitter, revealing her situation to the fans. Moreover, she expressed her frustrations, saying, “the Tag Team titles are cursed.” Sonya Deville looked quite annoyed as she said that there cannot be a worse timing than this as she has worked hard to become a champion in WWE.

Later in the video, Sonya Deville provides a positive update to her fans, saying she will be back in no time. Deville said that she would be back sooner rather than later. The current Tag Team Champion, Kevin Owens, is also out of action due to an undisclosed injury. Moreover, Liv Morgan is also away from television due to her injury.

Sonya Deville was involved in multiple feuds as she was the Women’s Tag Team Champion with her partner Chelsea Green. WWE Superstar Chelsea Green is heartbroken after her partner and dear friend suffered a torn ACL recently. She expressed her sadness after TMZ posted her injury update on Twitter. Green retweeted it with a heart-broken emoji, expressing her disappointment in the whole situation.

Deville injured her knee in a match on SmackDown, and therefore, she will have to undergo surgery on Tuesday. Therefore, she will be out of action for the foreseeable future. It looks like the two superstars have to relinquish the women’s tag titles this week on SmackDown.

The future of the Women’s Tag Team Championship is in jeopardy as one half of the champion is injured. Deville and Green won the tag titles on the July 17 episode of RAW. The duo said that they have worked relentlessly for eight years to win a title on the main roster. But now they look to be in a precarious situation.

Chelsea Green reacted to the news of her partner getting injured by posting a broken heart on Twitter. Both of them are close, as they started their careers together in Tough Enough 2015. It is going to be interesting to see where Chelsea Green goes from here, as she will have to continue as a singles superstar from now on.
