The Hall of Famer added that he loves his relationship with WWE but that his days of wrestling are over. “Coming back to do something from time to time is fine, because I love my relationship with WWE, but my days in the ring are done,” he said.

However, WWE managed to bring Stone Cold back last year at WrestleMania since it took place in his home town. The 58-year-old entertained the fans and gave them a chance to rejoice. However, when asked about his performance at Mania last year, Austin described it as “a fluke” and “staggering.” After leaving WWE, Stone Cold immersed himself in other activities. As a result, he stated that he does not miss being in the ring now that he has retired.

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE and Triple H pitched the idea of two blockbuster matches in front of the Hall of Famer. The company offered Austin a match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39. However, the Rattlesnake rejected the idea of the match.

On the other hand, WWE also proposed having him face Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. However, Stone Cold didn’t show any inclination towards this either. The Hall of Famer feels like his time has passed and therefore does not have any zeal to wrestle again. As a result, both superstars’ paths were bifurcated for WrestleMania 39.
