The Miz loves the Intercontinental Championship more than anything else, after Maryse. But it’s been five complete years since he won his 8th Intercontinental Title. Back on the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw, the A-lister schooled Roman Reigns to capture the gold. Despite being a heel at that juncture, the Barclays Center went berserk upon witnessing the scenes.
That win placed Miz as the second most decorated superstar to hold the prestigious title, in terms of the number of reigns. Only Chris Jericho currently sees down on The Miz, as Y2J won that Working Man’s title on 9 different occasions in his career. Nevertheless, reminiscing about that golden memory from half a decade ago, Mike Mizanin took to his Twitter account and refreshed everyone’s memories once again.
Needless to say, Mike will definitely go down as the greatest Intercontinental Champion of the PG era. Back during his peak days in 2016-17, the Miz was a different breed. His epic rivalry with Dolph Ziggler for that prestigious strap, which later turned into a title vs. career affair, will be cherished forever. The A-lister has made the late, great Honky Tonk Man proud of whatever he’s done with the workrate title in the present generation.
