Some would say Deja vu, but the epilogue on WrestleMania Saturday saw Cody Rhodes pointing to that camera in disappointment. As it happened, The American Nightmare and Seth Rollins lost their tag team match against Roman Reigns and The Rock. And as some fans had already predicted, it was The Great One who pinned Cody following a Rock Bottom and the People’s Elbow.

A complete melee that lasted nearly 45 minutes resulted in a gratifying triumph for The Bloodline. They got exactly what they wanted. Having said that, tomorrow night’s Undisputed WWE Universal title bout between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will now be contested under Bloodline rules. As one would assume, The Prodigal Son’s back is firmly against the wall now.

In his first advertised match in 11 years, The Rock showed as if he never lost a step. At one point, his cousin, Reigns, inadvertently speared him. However, the Samoan stalwarts made a quick recovery from such a predicament. When Rhodes hit Reigns with a trifecta of Cross Rhodes, the fans thought it was going to be it for the babyfaces to steal a march over their opponents.

However, just then, from behind, the Brahma Bull whipped a weight belt across Cody’s back. And everyone saw how it went south for the Undeniable One. Not only did he suffer his third pinfall loss since WWE return at WrestleMania 38, but Rhodes finds himself already in the backseat ahead of the title showdown with Roman.

WWE fans predict legendary run-ins to help Cody Rhodes on WrestleMania Sunday

As soon as Cody Rhodes succumbed to The Rock, fans rushed on the internet to share their thoughts. Almost everyone seems convinced that after what transpired on Saturday, the former AEW EVP will finish his story tomorrow.

He’s going to do it via the rumored appearances of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and John Cena, fans claimed on X. One even said that Rock would betray his cousin. A fan said that their tag team affair was lackluster, and Damian Priest should’ve cashed-in on Seth Rollins at least.

While most agreed that the main event lived up to its expectations, the crowd in general sucked. In a nutshell, a fan claimed that last night was the Infinity War and Sunday’s going to be the Endgame.
