The world may not know the famous WWE icon ‘The Rock’. However, the situation turns around when he changes into his ‘Dwayne Johnson’ mode. No one expected him to rise to the topmost level of stardom both inside and outside the WWE ring. While Mark Henry had already given his take on Dwayne’s career in WWE, The Undertaker now joins him in saying the same.
The Undertaker is held in high regard by all of the people associated with the WWE. The Deadman’s praise and suggestions for the younger generation are some of the most valuable advice for their lives. However, he was dissatisfied with the Rock’s performance in the ring.
Speaking to Gary Vaynerchuk, The Undertaker revealed the first impression that the Rock made on him on his debut. “Oh my gosh, it was awful” was the Undertaker’s reaction to the Rock’s first look at Madison Square Garden. The MSG audience had been straightforward in showing him what they felt.
“I had no clue how charismatic he was. I was like, ‘Such a shame, he’s not gonna be here long.’ Once he got to The Nation of Domination, it had completely flipped,” said the Undertaker. Everyone who watched the 10-time world champion perform knew he was destined for bigger things in life.

The Rock hated his first gimmick to the extent that he wanted to quit wrestling
The Rock’s ‘Rocky Maivia’ character was not much liked by the WWE Universe. He himself wanted to quit wrestling after seeing the hate he was receiving from the audience. Hate didn’t stop after one performance, but lasted until he went through his gimmick change.
His co-star Mark Henry once revealed that Dwayne was adamant about quitting the WWE ring and going back to playing football. The ‘Die Rocky Die’ chants by the audience pushed him beyond his limits, and he eventually succeeded in winning the hearts of the audience.
