Vince McMahon recently celebrated his birthday and was joined by his good friend John Cena at the Waverly Inn restaurant in NYC. Brock Lesnar and Pat McAfee too were spotted at the Former Chairman’s Birthday party. Vince McMahon was accompanied by a mystery woman and seemed to be not interested in talking and hid his face from the flashes of photography. Vince’s wife Linda wasn’t spotted at the event, and the two are said to have been separated years ago. Linda also dodged a question regarding Vince McMahon at a public event recently.

Vince is currently being investigated for the Hush Money Scandal that began in the early June of this year. Vince McMahon announced his retirement on July 22nd in the midst of an ongoing investigation, his daughter Stephanie McMahon and Nick khan were named as Co-CEOs of the company, while his son in law Triple H was appointed as the head of creative. Though there has been speculation that Vince McMahon still pulls the strings, the rumors have been squashed down a report from Fightful select, saying that if Vince would have been still in business, then there would have been SummerSlam rematches on RAW.

On the latest edition of Foley is Pod, Mick Foley spoke about the 2007 Storyline, which involved Vince McMahon stepping in the Limousine, which explodes as he enters. The WWE.com then noted that it had happened for real and that Mr. McMahon had died. For a moment people thought it was real but WWE later confirmed to CNBC that he was alive and that it was just a part of a storyline.

Foley said that he was really upset about the storyline and that he had a 45-minute yelling match with Vince McMahon. Foley stated that at the time he was working with kids who are facing challenges and as well as worked with the injured service members, which also included imminent deaths. Foley stated that it was insensitive to these people and they kept asking to him if Vince had really died.

Mick said that that Vince said to him that the character of Mr. McMahon had died not Vince McMahon. To which Foley questioned him about the awareness of the fans, whether they know this fact or not. Mick stated that there was a memorial service scheduled at San Antonio or corpus Christi and said that Vince indicated to him that if he wasn’t comfortable then he should leave. Foley said that he left and the Chris Benoit tragedy happened, due to which Vince McMahon nixed the angle involving his death.

“When I saw the full gospel tabernacle come in and they were supposed to have a memorial service, I don’t know if we were in San Antonio or Corpus Christi, I don’t know if he demanded that I leave, but it was more like, ‘Mick, if you’re not comfortable, you don’t have to be here.’ So, I took off and missed out on the [Chris Benoit] tragedy that unfolded.”

Mick Foley is currently signed to WWE under the Legend’s Contract and acts as the company’s ambassador.
