Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation as the co-CEO of WWE a few hours ago. The WWE Universe couldn’t digest this move after Vince McMahon’s shocking return to the company and a position in the Board. This was a huge move from the former co-CEO and Chairman of WWE which has now changed the landscape of the pro-wrestling industry.
Following this move, Vince McMahon has been promoted as the Executive Chairman of WWE while Nick Khan has been named the CEO of the company. Now, rumors have completely left fans stunned. As per the recent rumors, WWE has been sold to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund and the move has reportedly come following Stephanie’s resignation.
There were rumors that many companies including Amazon, Warner Bros. Discovery, and more were interested in buying the company. Though there is no official statement till now, the rumors say that the company has been sold. This may be the possible reason Stephanie McMahon resigned and resumed her leave.
