Mandy Rose has reportedly been released by WWE. But was it the right decision?

2022 was about to end with some of the most shocking moments in WWE history. But fans expected the sudden retirement of Vince McMahon as the last for the year. This was before another shocking news knocked on the door, supposedly ending the year on a high note. Mandy Rose etched her name in the history books with her NXT Women’s Championship reign. Just three days short of becoming the second-longest reigning Women’s champion in NXT history, Roxanne Perez, in a glorious fashion, defeated her to become the champion. 

But the title change was not something WWE planned for the storyline. The decision was reportedly made out of the sudden controversies the company faced with the star. As per reports, WWE has released the former NXT Women’s Champion in a shocking fashion. But this was not what the company wanted. With numerous rumors looming around, reports of Mandy Rose choosing to get herself released rather than ending up and cooling down the controversies have also come out.

But what controversy got her released from WWE? Mandy Rose has been posting some controversial content on her pages on OnlyFans. While one can post on the platform, there are some limits that were breached in this case. This was beyond the terms of the company, but the star didn’t follow them. There have been many instances where the superstars have not adhered to the company’s policies in the past. But the resolution has not always been the release of a superstar.

Everyone has found the release wrong. But did WWE have any other option? If a top superstar hasn’t followed the company’s policies, releasing him/her from the contract is considered the last alternative, and WWE chose it. But were they ready to explore other options? With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in charge, it seems unbelievable that a talented superstar would be released without exploring some alternatives. 

WWE’s shocking step of releasing Rose seemingly, isn’t the only alternative they chose to browse. Rather, the company reportedly offered the former star an opportunity to take further steps for her controversial content. Reportedly WWE offered Rose an option to put her content down, but she wasn’t ready to accept the offer. Rather, she chose to move out of WWE and keep her fans up with the pictures she posted.

Blaming WWE for the release of Rose isn’t right in this case. If reports are true and the company offered a different alternative to Mandy Rose, it might be the former NXT Women’s Champion who is to be blamed. Choosing to keep up with the controversial content rather than ending her contract with WWE might not be the right choice for her wrestling career.

While Mandy Rose has been released, WWE is reportedly giving another chance to current star

Mandy Rose being released was the last straw for WWE to use. But continuing the practice for other superstars shouldn’t be a precise decision. As per reports, former United States Champion Matt Riddle has also been involved in a huge controversy lately. The young star has failed to convince the company about his exposure to drugs. Reportedly, Riddle has been intaking drugs and hasn’t been able to prove the accusation wrong. 

WWE has not decided to release Riddle yet. Rather, reports claim that the superstar will be given an opportunity to change himself. The company has reportedly given Riddle a chance to take the test once again, and if the accusations are right, they have planned to make the former United States Champion go through a rehabilitation process. This shows that releasing superstars isn’t the only alternative WWE has taken for violation of their policies.

Moving forward, with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon having control, things won’t be very simple. The decision to release a talented star isn’t what they have taken easily. Mandy Rose denying to choose other alternatives may not be the case for other superstars. With all said, it seems like WWE and Mandy Rose’s mutual decision to end their contract was not wrong. But this might not be a practice in the future if things go the other way.
