‘Outsmarted’. This was the thought every fan had during the closing sequence of this week’s SmackDown. Cody Rhodes learned from his previous mistakes and brought back up to take care of business against The Bloodline. In the main event of this week’s exclusive show, Roman Reigns played Rhodes falsely, as he didn’t stand by his words and the Bloodline surrounded the ring. However, the American Nightmare was a cut above the Tribal Chief.

As Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa were lurking around the Royal Rumble winner, fans saw some familiar sightings in the crowd. It was Seth Rollins and Jey Uso marching towards the ring in hoods to come to the rescue of the American Nightmare. Roman Reigns was about to fly off the handle after seeing his bitter enemies before the show went off the air. Cody Rhodes stood tall behind the Visionary and his good friend, Main Event Jey, who themselves had some score to settle with the Samoan faction.

Before SmackDown became the war zone, Rhodes and Reigns had a serious talk. The two stars tried to get a rise out of each other by making some audacious claims. The son of Dusty Rhodes brought out the possibility of The Rock turning against Needle Mover, while he claimed that the 38-year-old will always be a ‘number 2’ in this business. The promo was personal, and it set the tone for the match at WrestleMania.

Besides, it was noted that the self-proclaimed ‘Final Boss’ The Rock was missing from the fray. It is going to be interesting to see how the Brahma Bull reacts to these events. This segment has once again brought another layer to the speculation about the result of the match at WrestleMania Night 2.

Roman Reigns thinks Cody Rhodes was doing a whole lot of nothing before returning to WWE

Roman Reigns is known for many things in WWE. One of them is having a big mouth while addressing his opponents. The Tribal Chief tried to bring down Cody Rhodes during one of his recent interviews. The Royal Rumble winner, who has been praised globally, doesn’t have a high standing in the eyes of the Head of the Table. A confident Reigns slammed the previous works of Rhodes before returning to WWE and calling it ‘nothing’.

Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, the Tribal Chief claimed that he, along with his family, has brought back relevance to WWE. He called it magnetism, which brought back the American Nightmare to WWE. However, the Needle Mover claimed that the 38-year-old was doing irrelevant work in his career. Therefore, returning to WWE was the only option he had to stay relevant.

That’s the thing, we done so many great things, this place, it’s like a magnetism. Cody was off doing who cares? A whole lot of nothing, saw what we were doing in WWE and he wanted to be a part of that.

However, it was not like Cody was doing ‘nothing’ before returning to WWE. The American Nightmare was one of the founding members of AEW. He had a great run in the promotion as one of the biggest faces. Unsurprisingly, the real reason for him to return to WWE was to ‘finish his story’. He has been fighting every week to achieve that feat. Standing in his way is the 1300+ day champion Roman Reigns.
