Since WWE announced its sale to UFC’s parent company, Endeavor, fans have been making fantasy matchups between the stars of the two companies. The first name that comes to mind from the world of MMA is Connor McGregor. However, the former Heavyweight Champion shut down all the rumors with an answer.

McGregor shares a long history with the world of professional wrestling. He follows sports enthusiastically and has been vocal about his favorites. He also does not shy away from criticism or remarks about the WWE product or wrestlers.

While talking to people on his way to a building, Connor McGregor stopped to sign autographs and talk to his fans. When he was busy signing multiple pictures and merchandise for people, a person asked McGregor about ever appearing in WWE. The Irish fighter denied the chances, saying he was just not that interested. He walked away after signing some more autographs and went on his way.

Despite McGregor clearly saying that he is not interested, fans will not lose hope of seeing him in the WWE ring. History has always dictated that people have changed their minds from time to time, and impossible moments have happened in WWE. Therefore, if McGregor comes across a solid offer, he might collaborate with WWE.

Connor McGregor is not the only MMA legend who has had a history with the biggest pro wrestling company. MMA and WWE go way back to the 90s, as legends like Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, and many others have appeared in WWE as well as MMA fights. Superstars like Batista, Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, and CM Punk have also tried their hand at the Octagon.

At the same time, MMA stars like Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, and Matt Riddle have come to WWE after having a career in MMA. UFC legends Daniel Cormier also made his appearance on WWE programming recently. Amanda Nunes has also expressed interest in joining her rivals Baszler and Rousey in WWE. On the other hand, former UFC fighters Paige Van Zant and Austin Vanderford have made appearances in AEW in recent years.
