Dominik Mysterio is undoubtedly the most hated wrestler in the WWE right now. The third-generation superstar’s persona took a major turn last year after betraying his father, Rey Mysterio. Recently, The Judgment Day member disrespected Rey by ripping his mask off. This happened during a live event in Fresno, California, on September 24.
A fan threw the Hall of Famer’s mask at Dominik while he was making his way to the ring. In reply, he ripped it apart viciously and threw it back into the live crowd. As expected, the 26-year-old was met with a chorus of boos by the audience. However, Dominik Mysterio would end up on the receiving end of a loss against Cody Rhodes.
Despite surprise interference from Omos, he was unable to defeat the American Nightmare. Dominik always takes the opportunity to disrespect his father. In fact, the North American Champion refers to Rey Mysterio as a “dead beat man”. It goes without saying that the duo is a long way away from resolving their “issues”. Check out the clip here:
Currently, Dominik Mysterio is feuding with Dragon Lee on NXT. A match for the North American title between the pair is scheduled for tonight’s RAW. Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio will defend the United States Championship against his Latino World Order (LWO) brother, Santos Escobar, on this week’s SmackDown.
Dominik Mysterio claims he’s ready for a potential WarGames match
As Survivor Series draws closer, fans are anticipating the return of the WarGames stipulation. Last year, the structure proved to be a major success in terms of match quality. Recently, Dominik Mysterio spoke about the possibility of competing in the match type this year.
While speaking on the In The Kliq podcast, the North American Champion stated that he doesn’t prefer staying in cage structures due to his experience while in prison. However, he doesn’t mind competing in a WarGames match if it means wrestling alongside his Judgment Day teammates.
“Prison Dom ain’t afraid of anybody, but when it comes down to Survivor Series, and if it does happen to be WarGames, I just know that nobody’s touching the Judgment Day,” Dom claimed. Obviously, the faction remains the favorite to compete in the stipulation if last year’s theme stays intact for the upcoming PLE.
