Cody Rhodes is one of the most popular babyfaces in WWE history. The Raw superstar has had a very successful run ever since he came back to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Recently, it has been rumored that The American Nightmare’s next opponent could be Omos.
The Stamford-based promotion recently held a live event in Palm Springs, California, on September 23. Cody Rhodes faced NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio in a one-on-one action. However, the Nigerian Giant Omos made his presence felt during the match.
Recently, a snippet from the live event circulated on X. The 29-year-old superstar interrupted the matchup and tossed Rhodes over the top rope to the ring. This gave Dirty Dom an edge over the former to capitalize and win the match. However, Cody kicked out and eventually clinched the victory.
The Nigerian Giant was last seen in the Slim Jim Battle Royal match at SummerSlam this year, which was eventually won by LA Knight. Many fans are speculating that WWE is currently testing the waters by showcasing Omos and Cody segments at live events for a potential feud shortly.

Jim Cornette pitches a bizarre build-up for Cody Rhodes’ and Roman Reigns’ road to WrestleMania 40
Wrestling fans are eagerly counting the days until Cody Rhodes finally dethrones Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and finishes the story his father, Dusty Rhodes, started. The two superstars already faced each other earlier this year at WrestleMania 39. However, Rhodes had to bite the dust against The Head of The Table.
In the latest edition of the Jim Cornette Experience, wrestling veteran Jim Cornette and co-host Brian Last pitched a possible build-up to the Raw superstars’ WrestleMania match. Cornette suggested that Cody should beat Reigns at Royal Rumble next year, paving the way for the ultimate dream match, The Rock vs. Roman Reigns.
He explained his stance and stated that The Great One vs. Tribal Chief must be a non-title match. Therefore, Cody should win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Rumble and face a returning CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania Day 1, added co-host Brian.
