WrestleMania can’t come sooner for Cody Rhodes, who is set for the biggest match of his life against Roman Reigns. While he prepares for that, Paul Heyman has once again diverted his focus to another challenger just days out of the Show of Shows.
The American Nightmare kicked off Friday Night SmackDown as he came down the ring for his scheduled match against Ludwig Kaiser. The Imperium member gets an upper hand in the match thanks to Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa, who came to ringside during the match. In the end, though, the Royal Rumble winner was able to overcome the odds and defeat his opponent.
After the match, as expected, Paul Heyman got on the apron and laid out another obstacle on Rhodes’ path. The Wiseman announced that The Challenger for the Undisputed title will take on Solo Sikoa on the upcoming Raw. While many might’ve shied away from such a huge challenge, the Grandson of a Plumber wasn’t one of those.
Cody Rhodes reminded everyone how he will never back down from a fight, as evidenced by his Hell in a Cell match against Seth Rollins. The match was made official as Cody reiterated that Solo Sikoa “is not ready” despite being undefeated in WWE. Not only that, but The Challenger promised the same fate to Roman Reigns, whom he will defeat in the WrestleMania main event.

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes’ final face-off announced for next week
The Solo Sikoa challenge wasn’t the only bombshell that Paul Heyman dropped on SmackDown. During his promo, The Wiseman also mentioned that Roman Reigns will return next Friday to have a final confrontation with Cody Rhodes before WrestleMania. The fans can expect another fiery segment between the two rivals as they have a great track record so far.
If Solo Sikoa loses on Monday, which has a high chance of happening, the reaction of the Tribal Chief would be even more interesting. The Enforcer still hasn’t been pinned or submitted in the main roster. On the other hand, Cody Rhodes is also undefeated since his return last year. Hence, the collision on the upcoming Raw could also have a sketchy ending where The Usos interfere in the match. Nonetheless, the announcement has peaked the intrigue of the WWE Universe as they await the eventual match next week.
