The Iron Sheik was one of the best-told characters in WWE history. His career ranged over the span of four decades and wrestled in promotions like WWE, WCW, JCP, GCW, and various others. Sheik was well known for being outspoken and destroying his opponents on the mic. One such incident happened with the former WWE Champion ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.

Iron Shiek was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the class of 2005. Ever since the former WWE Champion has only made sporadic appearances at special occasions in WWE. In 2023, The Iron Sheik was featured on an episode of Biography: WWE Legends.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, The Iron Sheik would get livid when Macho Man Randy Savage called during the show. The two would get into a heated exchange of words and start swearing at each other. Sheik then stood up and started threatening Macho Man, by making inappropriate gestures to the camera.

The Hall of Famer got so furious that he threatened Savage and said that he would f**k Savage’s wife, sister, mother, and his whole family. Sheik also held his crotch on camera and said that he would f**k everyone from Macho Man’s family in the a**. The conversation got extremely heated, and Stern had to intervene. 

Fans still remember the interview from more than a decade ago and have posted bits from the interview on social media. The video is getting viral today as fans remembered the 81-year-old who passed away yesterday.

The passing of Iron Sheik was announced on his official Twitter handle by his close ones. The wrestling world then came together to pay their condolences to the legend and his family. Huge names like The Rock, Triple H, Matt Hardy, and Diamond Dallas Page would all tweet and post about The Shiek on their social media accounts.

The wrestling promotions also paid their dues to the Hall of Famer as he wrestled in many promotions during his days. WWE and AEW were among the big companies that posted their condolences on social media. Multiple WWE and AEW Superstars have also posted photos of The Sheik, remembering him.

Further details about the last rites and funeral are yet to be disclosed by the family. However, fans are remembering The Iron Sheik by posting pictures with him and items that they have signed and autographed by the legend.
