Women wrestlers from the past have also competed in the Royal Rumble, providing fans with the opportunity to see them compete once more. The Royal Rumble has always been a titanic contest among wrestlers vying for a chance to win the championship at WrestleMania. It has been a launching pad for many wrestlers, as winning the Rumble is a major achievement in the WWE, which many wrestlers crave.

Rhea Ripley, being one of the finest female superstars of the current generation, also has the potential to headline WrestleMania. Ripley won the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 on Night 2 by defeating Asuka. She later lost the championship to Charlotte Flair in 98 days, and after that, she has not been able to clinch the championship. Ripley deserves another title run, and winning the Royal Rumble can boost her morale to win the championship at WrestleMania. ‘The Eradicator’ was close to winning the 2021 Royal Rumble but was eliminated by Belair to win the match.

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is back in the WWE after an injury, and ‘The Man’ seems to be involved in a rivalry with Bayley. Fans could see Lynch in a non-title feud with The Role Model, but Lynch also aims to become the Women’s Champion again. Since losing at WrestleMania 38, she has failed to win the championship on multiple occasions, and now she is hungry for another title run. With speculation that Lynch might face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 39, we may expect ‘The Man’ to be the first woman to win the Royal Rumble twice in her career.

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair has been out of the WWE for the past seven months. ‘The Queen’ is one of the most experienced players in the Royal Rumble. Winning the competition in 2020 and being one of the final opponents at this year’s Royal Rumble, Flair is in a great position to potentially win the Royal Rumble.

Flair has defended her championship two times against the winners, Asuka and Ronda Rousey, at WrestleMania. After winning the 2020 edition, she challenged the then-NXT Champion Rhea Ripley and defeated her at the event. With many wanting her to challenge for the main titles, Flair’s fans would love to see her in the mix of big things. Who knows? She might also end up becoming the first woman to win the Rumble twice.

Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks, being one of the top WWE Superstars, might return at the Royal Rumble in 2023. With the Rumble being full of surprises and returns, we might see Banks and Naomi return in 2023. The suspended WWE Superstar holds the record for lasting in the match for the longest period of time. Banks is one of the toughest opponents to eliminate in the Rumble, and she deserves a chance to have her moment at WrestleMania as her record is 0-6 at the Flagship event.

Ever since Bayley returned to the WWE after her injury, she has been feuding with Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s title. ‘The Role Model’ has lost twice at PLE since her return and failed to be a champion since her loss to Sasha Banks at Hell in a Cell 2020.

Bayley is truly a role model for the women in the locker room and deserves to win the Royal Rumble, which will be a massive achievement in her career. Bayley has two wins and two losses at the flagship event but has never competed in a singles match. ‘The Role Model’ definitely has the potential to be the headliner at WrestleMania.

Well, regardless of who wins the Royal Rumble, fans will be treated to pure entertainment when these brave women step inside the squared circle. For those unaware, the Royal Rumble 2023 will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on January 28 and will mark the 36th edition of the PPV.
