WWE considering to add a ‘Calamitous’ stipulation to Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes III
The upcoming chapter of destruction between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar is likely to supersede expectations.
Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will collide at SummerSlam (via- WWE)
For the time being, WWE has pressed the pause button on the grudges between Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar. Their last encounter took place in Jeddah at Night of Champions. Heading into that match, Cody’s arm was partially broken as per the storyline. Taking advantage of that part, Lesnar hurled Mr. Nightmare and made him gasp for air. After locking Rhodes into the Kimura Lock for a while, the former passed out.
On the following Raw episode, Cody Rhodes challenged The Beast for a decider, as the scorecard is drawn at 1-1. While Lesnar is yet to respond, it’s obvious that they’re going to wrestle, at least one more time. According to Dave Meltzer, that match will happen at SummerSlam. Also, from just being another singles match, WWE is heavily discussing to add stipulation in that.
At the moment, the creative is drafting tentative plans for Rhodes vs. Lesnar. However, one of the match types being tossed around lately, is the Bullrope match. As known, this stipulation hasn’t been used in WWE from a long time. For the unversed, the Bullrope match was popularized by Dusty Rhodes. He competed in a few of them throughout his career as an active performer.
So, with WWE’s obsession of mentioning his father every time Cody is talked about, it can be a way to pay homage to The American Dream. Back in 2007, at the Great American Bash, Dusty went against Randy Orton having a bullrope in between. Even after dominating for the initial part, The Viper emerged victorious. Cody would love to rope a victory against Lesnar, if the match really ends up happening with the aforementioned stip.

Is Cody Rhodes in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match?
As big of a surprise it is, seems like Cody Rhodes is not booked for Money in the Bank, at least for the MITB contract ladder match. It doesn’t mean he won’t be at the premium-live-event in London. As seen on Raw last week, The American Nightmare came across Dominik Mysterio & Rhea Ripley. After a period of severe insults, Dom executed a cheap shot on Cody.
He slapped the taste out of Rhodes’ mouth. Afterwards, The Mami came to his aid against Rhodes, ensuring her Latino Heat doesn’t gets beaten up. Like a true man of culture, The Prodigal Son backed down. However, the chaotic events on the show drew the ire from Cody’s wife – Brandi Rhodes.
She issued a warning towards Rhea Ripley that she’ll beat her up. At this point, it’s not clear whether WWE is setting up Brandi Rhodes for an in-ring return. If so, they can easily book a mixed tag-team showdown between the involved entities. For this week on the red brand, Cody Rhodes will go one-on-one against The Miz.
