Despite his loss last night on Raw, one-half of The Street Profits garnered praise from the WWE Universe as he delivered some great highlights to them on Monday.

Montez Ford stepped up to the mark as he took on Austin Theory last night on Raw. While the result might not have been in his favour, he still outshone the Champion in the eyes of the fans.

The former Raw tag team champion went one-on-one with Austin Theory to take revenge for Angelo Dawkins’ loss last week. As expected, Montez Ford put on one hell of a performance in the match with his high-flying and athletic moves. During the match, the Street Profits member even teased his opponent by doing a “You can’t see me” gesture like John Cena.

Apart from his in-ring maneuvers, Montez Ford has impressed the fans with his charismatic personality as well. A glimpse of it was seen during his match on Raw, when Ford pushed Theory into the crowd and followed him over the barricade. As he does, the triple crown tag team champion immediately joins the WWE Universe and sits with them, posing for the camera. The fans in attendance erupted in cheers at the sight of the WWE superstar with them.

However, in the end, Austin Theory proved why he was the US champion and beat his opponent with the A-Town Down. The Champion went on to grab the mic and send a message to his WrestleMania opponent, John Cena. In the same episode of Raw, it was confirmed that Street Profits will also feature in the WrestleMania Showcase four-way tag team match. Thus, Montez Ford will get to have his moment under the brightest lights and garner more praise from the fans.

Wrestling Twitter demands a main event push for Montez Ford

After his antics on Raw, the “Man of the People” received a positive response from the fans as well. Montez Ford sent the wrestling Twitter ablaze with the demands of pushing him to the moon. Fans asked that the company should give the WWE superstar his singles push into the main event and event hand him a title.

As Ford was dropping references to John Cena in the match, some viewers even pointed out another similarity. They compared Ford’s jump in the crowd to The Cenation Leader’s first WWE title win at WrestleMania 21. Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter.
