Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are looking to rewrite history at WrestleMania XL. After back-to-back wins in the Royal Rumble match, Rhodes is finally looking to end The Tribal Chief’s 1297-day reign of terror in their WrestleMania rematch. Recently, Xavier Woods shared his thoughts on the ongoing rivalry and commented on the possible outcome of the match.
While speaking on WWE Die Woche, The New Day member claimed that The Prodigal Son would finally claim his kingdom by defeating Reigns. Woods took shots at the longest-reigning Universal Champion for his relaxed schedule and minimal title defenses. Furthermore, he stated that The American Nightmare will be a fighting champion and give title shots to all those who deserve it.
There’s absolutely no way he walks out of WrestleMania with that championship.Xavier Woods on Roman Reigns
Xavier Woods stood by his stance against the Head of the Table losing the Undisputed title at the Showcase of the Immortals. Evidently, the 37-year-old Superstar is pretty confident that Cody Rhodes will finally finish his story. Fans pointed out that Woods’ comments stem from his short-lived rivalry with Reigns in 2021.
Back in November of 2021, Woods and Roman Reigns collided in a match. Although the match ended in no contest, Reigns proceeded to wear The New Day member’s crown, destroying it later on. Currently, the former King of the Ring winner is scheduled to tag with Kofi Kingston and challenge The Judgment Day at WrestleMania XL in a massive six pack ladder match.
Multiple WWE Superstars including Roman Reigns will be creating history at WrestleMania XL
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will create history by being involved in the main event of WrestleMania on both nights. The iconic tag match of Rhodes and Seth Rollins vs. The Rock and Reigns will headline the first night. Later on, Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight title against Drew McIntyre in the co-main event of Night 2. Meanwhile, The Great One is looking to make his in-ring return after eight long years.
The Brahma Bull defeated former WWE Superstar Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32 in 6 seconds! That is already a record in Mania history. Moreover, Rock will join WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker as the only superstars to main event WrestleMania in 4 different decades. Also, Reigns will become the standalone superstar to compete in the most number of WrestleMania main events.
Furthermore, Rhodes becomes the first superstar to win back-to-back Royal Rumbles to challenge the same opponent for the same title. Finally, Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso will be the 3rd time real-life brothers will be facing off at the Grandest Stage of Them All after Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart at WrestleMania X and Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy at WrestleMania 25, all happening in 15-year intervals.
