Zac Efron’s movie on The Von Erich Family gets an actor to portray the late great Kerry Von Erich

Zac Efron is one of the most improved actors of this generation and his transition from being a teenage heartthrob to being a serious actor is commendable. Zac Efron was regarded as an actor doing romantic comedies or comedy movies of any kind for the most of the time in his but recently he has begun selecting meaty and character roles, with the most recent one being the role of the serial killer Ted Bundy in the 2019 movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Zac Efron was praised for his performance, with many critics citing the accuracy of his portrayal as similar to that of real Ted Bundy.
This year Zac Efron has been a part of three movies until now and those being Gold, Firestarter and The Greatest Beer Run Ever. Gold was not well received by the public, with many calling it a snooze fest but Zac delivered a stark and staggering performance. Firestarter was largely panned by the critics and the audiences, and it ended up being a box office bomb.
Zac Efron’s upcoming movie would be The Greatest Beer Run ever, which is a biopic on Former US Marine Chick Donohue, who is best known for delivering beer during the Vietnam War. The movie is directed by Academy Award winner Peter Farrelly, who is best known for directing comedy movies like Me, Myself and Irene and the most recent and Academy award for best picture winner “The Green Book”.
Zac Efron will next star in Sean Durkin’s The Iron Claw, which is based on the famous professional wrestling family, The Von Erichs. The Von Erich family was known as one of the greatest in wrestling, but they suffered a streak of tragedies when three of Fritz Von Erich’s wrestler sons all committed themselves in quick succession in separate years, while one of them died due to acute enteritis before the three of them committed suicide. Fritz Von Erich was predeceased by five of his sons.
One of the brothers, Kerry Von Erich had a successful WWE career and was also said to be a future WWE World champion in the promotion, when he suffered a motorcycle accident, after which he became addicted to pain killers and slipped into depression, after which he committed suicide. Kerry Von Erich will be played by Jeremy Allen White in the film, and Harris Dickinson as David Von Erich. Jeremy Allen White is best known for his portrayal of Phillip “Lip” Gallagher in the Showtime series Shameless.

Zac Efron will portray the role of Kevin Von Erich in the movie
Fritz Von’s firstborn Jack Barton Jr. passed away when the latter was six years old. Five of Fritz Von’s six sons were predeceased when Fritz passed away in 1999 and Kevin Von Erich is the only surviving son as of today. Zac Efron will portray Kevin Von Erich, the sole surviving brother and member of the second generation wrestler. Kevin Von Erich also had a decent pro wrestling career and had a short stint in the WWF. Sean Durkin is best known for directing Martha Marcy May Marlene.
