Ric Flair shares his opinion on the storyline with Lacey Evans
Ric Flair was comfortable with the Lacey Evans storyline
“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair was most recently seen involved in a storyline on WWE Raw, against his daughter Charlotte Flair. The reason for this feud was Ric Flair’s former on-screen interest, Lacey Evans. While the storyline gained a lot of attention from the WWE Universe, much of it was criticism.
The storyline came to an abrupt end when Lacey Evans announced her pregnancy. Initially, the announcement was being speculated to be a part of the storyline, but soon it was revealed that the announcement was true. Thankfully, for the fans, the storyline soon ended.
Ric Flair recently appeared for an interview with ESPN MMA’s Ariel Helwani. During the interview he revealed that he wasn’t uncomfortable with the storyline, but Charlotte Flair didn’t like it.
“In this instance, I didn’t [have a problem with it]. The one thing I’ve learned is you’re not gonna win a war when someone got their mind made up and she most definitely didn’t like it. But you know, the one thing I can say about me is, I always said yes. Because I didn’t wanna be that guy that was always going, ‘Oh god, that isn’t perfect for me.’,” Flair mentioned.
Ric Flair continues to make cameo appearances on WWE
Even after retiring from his in-ring career, Ric Flair continues to make appearances on WWE. Prior to the storyline with daughter Charlotte Flair, Ric regularly appeared alongside Randy Orton, during the “Legend Killer” storyline.
Orton, being the Heel that he has always been, turned on Flair and punt-kicked him. Flair got his revenge on Orton when he helped Drew McIntyre beat Randy Orton at the Clash of Champions in an Ambulance match.
Ric Flair was last seen in a WWE match in 2009. It was an unsanctioned match against Randy Orton, which was a night after Wrestlemania 24. At this Mania, Flair faced Shawn Michaels in a memorable farewell match.
On the other hand, Charlotte Flair is now focusing on her singles career. She is involved in a feud with Asuka and Rhea Ripley for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.
