Brock Lesnar has been one of the greatest wrestlers of all time in WWE. He has won almost everything and has defeated every popular wrestler in the industry for the past 20 years. The Beast has made a lot of shocking returns in WWE, and he received a huge amount of pop every time.
However, in many cases, he has been heavily favored by Vince McMahon, which is not liked by fans. Vince has snatched opportunities from many young and talented wrestlers by always giving them to Brock Lesnar. This is the reason why Lesnar was hated by a lot of fans, especially when he returned to Money in the Bank and won it in 2019.
Mustafa Ali is one such wrestler who was screwed by Vince’s decision in 2019. During that time, Ali was going to be the next big thing in WWE and would go on to challenge Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35. However, after his injury, he was sidelined and lost that opportunity. Later that year, he qualified for Money in the Bank and was actually going to win it.
It was at the last moment that Vince decided to interfere and change the decision. During one of his interviews with talkSPORT, Ali was asked what changed for Brock Lesnar to steal his position. Ali said that Vince asked him to grab the briefcase but not to unhook it. He would stand frozen as Brock would make his shocking return and win the briefcase.
Ali further added that he is not the one to make decisions or run the show. He did whatever Vince McMahon asked him to do. Mr. McMahon once again proved why he has always shown favoritism to certain wrestlers he likes and exploited some others. That could have been one of the best moments for him and made him a star in WWE. However, Vince decided against it.
Mustafa Ali makes a shocking return to NXT in the recent episode
The surprise debut of Mustafa Ali to NXT piqued the interest of Schism, particularly its leader Joe Gacy. He felt Ali’s fury following the tag team match between Wes Lee & Tyler Bate and The Dyad.
Once The Dyad was defeated, Gacy attempted to attack both Lee and Bate, but Ali interfered and mercilessly pushed Gacy over the top rope, humiliating Schism’s enigmatic head. This week, the two Superstars will face off in a highly anticipated showdown that might alter the course of NXT in the near future.
