Did WWE just spoil who’s going to walk out as the World Heavyweight Champion from Clash at the Castle? Well, that could be the case. A while ago, the official X handle of Madison Square Garden confirmed that Damian Priest will defend his World title against Jey Uso on the June 28th edition of SmackDown. It’s likely to be a dark match.
However, if the advertisement is to be believed, it basically entails that the Judgment Day member wouldn’t be toppled by Drew McIntyre come next month’s Clash at the Castle, slated for June 15. In most cases, the match announcements, such as the one from MSG, are always deemed to be cards subject to change. It could very well be the case this time around, too.

Who knows, by the time WWE gets to the world’s most famous arena, The Scottish Warrior might be holding the World Heavyweight title up high. Therefore, one cannot claim with conviction that MSG listing Priest vs. Jey would have anything to do with what’s going to transpire in Scotland at the PLE. As the fans know, WWE CCO Triple H was the one to spill the beans on Damian’s forthcoming showdown with McIntyre.
It appears as if the fans are convinced that Drew will be crowned the new champion on his home turf in Glasgow. However, a certain CM Punk might be lurking to cost the Scot on such an emotional night at Clash at the Castle. A few weeks ago on Raw, The Best in the World even claimed that he wouldn’t be troubled at all if destiny took him to Scotland to break McIntyre’s face.
Damian Priest returns to singles action on Raw next week
Next week on Raw, Damian Priest goes one-on-one with Rey Mysterio in a non-title match. It stems from what happened this past Monday night. Rey was in singles action with Carlito. The WWE HOF’er eventually got the job done, even though Finn Balor tried to derail his footing.

After the match, Priest annihilated the 49-year-old as if he wanted to show his Judgment Day peers how it’s done. And after went down in the main event on Raw, neither The Archer of Infamy nor Rhea Ripley would be pleased at all.
After a run-in from Braun Strowman inadvertently enabled Dominik Mysterio to help Liv Morgan retain her title against Becky Lynch, the Women’s World Champion kissed Dom. Mysterio seemed baffled, and he’ll now have to answer Damian in the weeks to come.
