The first-ever undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, has outperformed himself ever since his Tribal Chief gimmick. A decade of his career has never been more entertaining than his recent period when people saw him as a heel star. His glory put him on top of any reigning champions, and he became the face of the company.
Reigns’ career has seen him in multiple and consecutive WrestleMania main events. And for that, going through its road has been inevitable for him, with headlining Fastlane for the sake of the event, held mostly in February or March of the year, seeing the final build towards Mania while increasing its stakes by shaping the storyline.
Fastlane started in 2015 and held for five years regularly until 2019. A year of hiatus happened for their profitable option of going to Saudi Arabia for Super Show-Down and continuing its next iteration in 2021. Considering the six premium live events of Fastlane, Roman has set up records that have defined his legacy in the whole of WWE. These five benchmarks of The Head of the Table have been untouched by any other stars until the 2023 edition of Fastlane.

1. Most matches in Fastlane history
The six editions of Fastlane over seven years have ultimately been built for the upcoming WrestleMania. Thus, five of the six iterations have seen Roman Reigns be a part of the event. Each iteration before 2018 and after has seen him wrestle a match, making him the star with the most (five) matches at Fastlane.
The exception happened in 2018, as the show was a branded event for SmackDown while Reigns was on Raw until 2019. But all the other events have featured him for a spot at WrestleMania, defending his title, or as a tag team alongside stablemates of The Shield. Fastlane 2023 would end this short-lived streak, though.
2. Most wins at Fastlane
Along with competing at the highest level and having more matches than any other star at Fastlane, Roman Reigns is victorious too. He has a record for most wins at the event, with five victories registered in his name. 7 years, 6 editions, and 5 victories are the glory of The Tribal Chief that has been maintained by him for years in WWE.
Roman was set up for a big thing as he was vying for a WWE Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 32. His victory against Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar in a triple-threat contest in 2016 made him the ultimate superstar of Fastlane. Ever since his record for dominance at Fastlane has been maintained for years.
3. Most main events at Fastlane
The aforementioned records state that Roman Reigns has the most matches and most wins at Fastlane. But an accomplishment that resembles his WrestleMania record is that he has competed in most of the main events of Fastlane. His five victories have seen four of them at the main event stage of those three hours.
The only exception came at Fastlane 2017 when he competed against Braun Strowman. The match happened at the second last spot and ignited a gnarling rivalry that continued for several months later on Raw. Ever since then, Reigns has not missed his chance to compete in the main event, the possible Fastlane event.
4. An undefeated streak of 5-0 at Fastlane
With the baggage of most matches, main events, and wins, Roman Reigns has more to offer at Fastlane. His earth-shattering stats at the event see him as the absolute best with an undefeated streak. The Head of the Table has 5 wins and 0 losses at Fastlane, making him the most successful superstar of the show.
His singles victory against Daniel Bryan at Fastlane 2015 kicked off his streak for the later years. The record continued with his triple threat win in 2016 and again singles win in 2017. A hiatus in 2018 gave him the required break but again made him relevant with a tag team victory in 2019 after a battle with leukemia.
5. The longest match in Fastlane history
Around this time in 2021, Roman Reigns was all set to be the best Universal Champion in the history of WWE. His defense at WrestleMania 37 gave him that opportunity as he smashed, stacked, and pinned his two opponents. However, in that build, he made a record at Fastlane that added to his greatness at the event.
He delivered the longest-ever Fastlane match while battling Daniel Bryan. The main event matchup for the Universal Championship was 30 minutes long and was of great interest to the fans. Reigns’ heel tactics got the best of Bryan, with Edge also being the guest referee, acting as a hurdle for Daniel’s chances for victory.
