WWE Smackdown results – 27/11/2020 (New feuds for Roman Reigns, The Mysterios and Daniel Bryan)

The show kicks-off with a big pyrotechnics display. This is the Thanksgiving special episode of Smackdown. Jey Uso walks down to the ring.

Roman Reigns – Jey Uso segment

Jey Uso is in the ring. After short introduction, he calls out the Universal Champion with Paul Heyman. A highlight of Reigns’ match against Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series is shown. Reigns won the match with a little assist from Uso and a low-blow. Reigns starts ranting against Uso. How Uso came out to help him, despite being told to go home.

The Universal Champion complains that Uso made Reigns look weak. As a result the Smackdown locker room did not fear them. Reigns and Heyman leave. Uso is still in the ring, looking confused and angry. Otis is making his entrance, as Uso stares at him and attacks with a steel chair. Chad Gable and WWE officials run out to save Otis. But he is already injured and will unable to compete.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode def. The Street Profits

Ziggler and Roode call out the Smackdown Tag team champions. The Street Profits come out and taunt them, before accepting their challenge for a match. With Montez Ford in the match, there is bound to be some high-flying action. But he misses a huge Frog splash right before the commercial break.

Ziggler tried to poke Ford’s eye, while the referee was distracted, but still couldn’t capitalize on it for the win. But while Ford was busy with Ziggler, Roode rolls him for the win. This is a big win for them. They earn a shot at the title.

Sami Zayn def. Daniel Bryan

Bryan, in an interview backstage mentioned that Zayn has been exploiting loopholes to keep the title. Bryan promises to win the Intercontinental Championship. Sami Zayn comes out to the ring. He speaks against Thanksgiving. Zayn then mentions that he has defeated Bryan at Wrestlemania, so there is no point of facing him again.

But the match begins as Bryan tries to jump off the top rope onto Zayn. But he hits the barricades. Bryan beautifully transitioned an armbar into the Yes Lock but Zayn gets a rope break.

Bryan then hits a dive and Zayn goes into the announce table. The Intercontinental Champion runs back to the locker room. Bryan follows him. The referee begins the count-out. Zayn runs back to the ring to win via count-out. Bryan is nowhere to be seen.

We go backstage, as we see Bryan being attacked by Jey Uso. Kevin Owens comes in to make the save. Uso threatens Owens and then runs away. Owens follows him.

Bianca Belair def. Natalya

Bayley is on commentary for this match. Bianca gets a near fall as soon as the match begins. The action continued outside the ring, where Belair accidentally punched Bayley in the face. They get is a heated verbal exchange. Belair pushes Natalya into Bayley, as she hits her finisher for the win.

Murphy def. King Corbin

Corbin comes out to mock the Mysterio family. The family, along with Murphy are watching from backstage. He calls the Mysterios a bunch of losers.

Rey and Dominik stand on the apron and try to distract Corbin, but Murphy is still getiing beaten up. Corbin was dominating the match, while ensuring that he isn’t distracted by the Mysterios. Murphy went for the cover, but Corbin gets his legs on the rope. Dominik interferes again by pushing Corbin’s leg off the rope. Murphy picks up the win via pinfall.

Carmella is cutting a promo backstage when Sasha Banks attacks her. Billie Kay is waving her headshots around the announcer’s team.

Kevin Owens def. Jey Uso

Before the match, Owens walks up to Roman Reigns. He complains that Reigns’ family issues are spilling on the whole locker room. Owens points out that Reigns is treating his family bad and walks off. Reigns orders Uso to make them fear him.

As the match begins, Owens is completely dominating. Uso pushes him into the steel steps to get a breather. The match is having some crazy action, when Uso goes for the steel chair. He attacks Owens and clears the commentary table. Referee calls for the bell. Owens has won via DQ.

Owens hits a Stunner and pushes Uso across the table. He hits Uso with the steel chair. Owens made sure that Reigns is watching. He waits for the Universal Champion to walk out to the ring. But The Big Dog stays in his locker room as the show ends.
