Top 5 WWE Superstars with the most Elimination Chamber appearances

Elimination Chamber has held the most captivating matches inside its chained walls. Only a few have entered the chamber multiple times, but these five have made the most attempts inside Satan's Prison.

Elimination Chamber is one of many unique and innovative concepts that WWE has brought to the pro wrestling world. The brutal structure was first introduced by Eric Bischoff in 2002. The creation of the match is credited to Bischoff and Triple H, who was the World Heavyweight Champion at the time. Since its inception, the Chamber has seen a shift in its shape and structure. However, the format and nature of the match have remained the same.

The Elimination Chamber match is usually fought for a title or potential future contention for the title. In over 20 years, the WWE Universe has witnessed many superstars enter the demonic cage. It leaves a heavy toll on each participant’s body locked behind those steel chains.

Therefore, entering the chamber multiple times requires a lot of grit and persistence. That being said, the following five superstars are the ones who have entered the Chamber the most times in their careers. These are the ones who have made their name synonymous with Satan’s Prison.

#5 Triple H – 6

The man who is credited with the original idea, Triple H, was also among the ones to enter the match the most. The Game has had first-hand experience of his creation, entering it six times. He is famously remembered for being a participant in the first-ever Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series 2002. The King of Kings entered the match as the World Heavyweight Champion and suffered a loss at the hands of Shawn Michaels.

The Cerebral Assassin would get his win back though as he won the second Chamber match months down the line. By the end of his career, the 14-time World champion entered the cruel structure four more times and won three more battles, etching his name in history. Triple H last appeared in the six-man match in 2010 before retiring a decade later due to health concerns.

#4 Kofi Kingston – 6

The Ghanaian wrestler is tied up with The Game at six appearances a piece, which is quite a feat. Furthermore, the 2010 match, which was the last for Triple H, was Kofi Kingston‘s first, creating a nice parallel. The former WWE champion is known for his antics and innovative, high-flying maneuvers inside the cage, using the structure to his advantage. However, most of the time, the New Day member has entered the match as a “filler” participant with no chance of a victory.

The only time Kofi Kingston won the match was alongside The New Day when they took part in the first-ever Tag Team Elimination Chamber in 2015. The closest Kofi came to winning a singles Chamber was years later, when he rode the momentum from fans in a WWE Championship Chamber match but ended up just short as he got eliminated by Daniel Bryan in the end. Being an active member of the roster, there is a chance that the WWE Universe might get to see more action from Kingston inside the Chamber in the future.

#3 John Cena – 7

Being the face of WWE for over a decade, the Champ has had his fair share of records under his belt. Adding to the long list, John Cena has also entered the demonic cage a record seven times and won three of those encounters. The Cenation Leader first entered the Elimination Chamber in 2006 and successfully defended his WWE Championship against five other competitors.

His last appearance inside the cage in 2018 was also special. The Elimination Chamber before WrestleMania 34 was the first time seven participants entered the match. The 16-time world champion is now a big Hollywood star, who rarely makes an appearance in WWE. Hence, there is little to no chance that John Cena will enter such a hard-hitting match in the future.

#2 Randy Orton – 8

Randy Orton’s experience in the Elimination Chamber spans nearly two decades, proving what a veteran of the game he is. The Legend Killer first participated in the match in 2003 but had to wait over a decade for his first victory. Despite being the main event star, the Apex Predator only has one Chamber victory to his name. It was in 2014 when Orton retained his WWE World Heavyweight title with the help of the Authority.

Unlike his contemporary, John Cena, Orton remained an integral part of WWE. This was the reason he could take part in more Elimination Chambers in the latter half of his career. The 14-time world champion is still going strong, last appearing in the Chamber match in 2021. He lost that match to Drew McIntyre missing out on the WWE title.

#1 Chris Jericho – 8

There is no dispute that Chris Jericho is a legend in the business and a future Hall of Famer. Similar to Triple H, the Lionheart was part of the first three Elimination Chamber matches. However, he couldn’t buy a victory in any of them. Moreover, Y2J has had a similar record to Randy Orton, winning only one match in eight competitions. It was in 2010, when Jericho finally won the World Heavyweight championship from Undertaker, with the help of Shawn Michaels.

The Canadian legend also has a very unique and impressive stat to his name. The six-time world champion put his body to the test the most as his eight appearances came within 10 years. 2006 and 2011 were the only two years Jericho wasn’t a part of any of the Chamber matches. His last Elimination Chamber was in 2013 when he failed to earn a World Heavyweight title shot at WrestleMania 29 but set a record for ages.
