“Everyone buying into the dream”: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson teases a major announcement
The Rock
The Rock is one of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling. He had started off his career as a college football player. But after going undrafted in the 1995 NFL Draft, he switched careers and moved to professional wrestling. He was signed by WWE (then known as WWF) in 1996.
With his charismatic trash-talker attitude, Dwayne Johnson was catapulted to popularity and went on to become one of the most loved names in the company. But after working for nearly a decade with the company, he decided to pursue a career in Hollywood. Even after moving to an acting career, Dwayne continued to make sporadic appearances for the company.
A 10-time World Champion, The Rock’s acting career too became as explosive as his career in professional wrestling. In fact, today he is considered to be one of the highest-grossing as well as the highest-paid actors in the world. But this is not all, Johnson even happens to be a very hands-on businessman – and runs several diverse ventures.
XFL Is a professional American football league, which was founded by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in 2018. But due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the company had to file for bankruptcy in 2020. The league was sold to The Rock in 2020, who has plans to relaunch it in February 2023.
Now it seems like that the relaunch plans have been finalized, with Johnson announcing that some major announcements regarding the league are coming soon. “The XFL. We’re pumped about the big announcements we have coming up. I’m a passionate dude and I’ll tell you guys, this is one passionate organization. Everyone buying into the dream.Very cool (and motivating) to feel the energy & mana,” tweeted Johnson.
The Rock is rumored to return to WWE
Unified WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is one of the biggest Superstars on the WWE roster. His new Tribal Chief character has been impressing the fans all over the globe. He has dominated the roster for nearly two years now – and has gone through virtually through the entire roster.
This led to the speculation that his biggest challenge would be arriving in the form of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Both the Superstars belong to the same Samoan Wrestling family and if there is one man who could still convincingly show up and pin Reigns – it is The Rock.
