The Tag-Team Championships proved to be a blessing in disguise for WWE management. All the teams are working hard to be at the top of the division, but there were some teams that outshone the rest.

The faction consists of Erik and Ivar and is managed by Valhalla. 2022 has been a mediocre year for the Viking Raiders. The team started off on a not-so-good note. However, the year marked a new start for the superstars, as they turned heel during the event. The faction also changed their wrestling gimmick as well as their face paint and came to be known as ‘The Vicious’ Viking Raiders. However, before they could establish their dominance, Erik suffered an injury, and the faction has been out of the ring since then.

9: The Street Profits

The Street Profits are an old faction that has been privileged to hold almost all the titles. However, 2022 wasn’t the best year on their charts. The duo comprising Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford failed to defeat any of the major factions present on the company’s main roster. The two also got their chance at the 2022 Royal Rumble but weren’t able to gather much attention.

8: Imperium

Up next on Firstsportz top faction list for 2022, Imperium stands out. Despite the fact that a lot of changes were made to the team, the trio of Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci are ready to conclude the year by being an integral part of the ‘Imperium’. The trio kept the InterContinental Champion – Gunther in safe hands all through the year and until now. The trio also stood strongly with each other as they faced multiple factions in the ring during the year, too.

7: The OC

2022 had some big returns on WWE’s charts, and one such return came up for the OC fans. The faction that was initially started in WWE with the name of ‘The Club’ (and later’ OC’Anderson) comprised AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson before the latter two were released by the company. The two men made a surprise appearance on Monday Night RAW in October, supporting AJ against Finn Balor.

As the three men stood tall against ‘The Judgment Day’. However, when Rhea Ripley tried to stay as a dominating factor on one side, Mia Yim didn’t leave any scope to make The OC a weak link in the tag team division.

6: The New Day

The history of WWE speaks loud and clear for the New Day, which has achieved so much since the start of its run in WWE. However, the WWE Draft isn’t very peaceful for the factions, and The New Day was no different. The trio got split up during the 2021 Draft. Big E was drafted to RAW, but Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods remained on SmackDown.

Things worsened during 2022 and the New Day stayed out of the major limelight because of Big E’s massive injury. The impact of Ridge Holland’s belly-to-belly suplex was so grave that the WWE Universe is not clear if Big E will ever step inside the ring. Kofi and Xavier won the NXT Tag Team title at NXT Deadline and thus became the third WWE Tag Team Triple Crown Champions. The win came as a bright light at the end of the tunnel for their fans.

5: The Brawling Brutes

The fifth faction on the list is the Brawling Brutes. This faction is led by Sheamus, and it includes Ridge Holland and Butch. The foundation of the trio can be called a need for help. With so many stars on the main roster, rivalries among the stars grew. The original teams were broken in the 2021 Draft, and this increased the need for factions on the main roster.

The faction was initially led by Edge instead of Finn Balor before the latter turned against Edge before he could be added to the faction. The faction, over the entire year, got involved in major storylines against the Mysterios after Dominik Mysterio ditched his father and joined hands with The Judgment Day.

3: Damage CTRL

One of the most dominating groups that is receiving much appreciation in the WWE’s 2022 records. Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky made a massive jaw-dropping return at SummerSlam 2022 after Bianca Belair won the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. The three women were able to bring fear into the eyes of the champion before Becky Lynch backed her up.

The RK Bro – Randy Orton and Matt Riddle didn’t start the year with a bang. The year had just begun when the RK-Bro dropped the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship to The Alpha Academy. Although the team reclaimed its titles, it took a long time for them to win the Winners Take All championship unification. The bloodline was present at all times to not let the Usos lose. However, RK-Bro is out of action due to the back injury that Randy Orton is currently suffering from.

The Bloodline is the heart and soul of the current WWE factions. Faction comprises the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion – Roman Reigns, his manager Paul Heyman, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions – Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Solo Sikoa. The Bloodline has defeated all the teams that stood in their way and proven to be the most dominant force in 2022.

However, nothing ever comes easy for the strong. The Bloodline members had no plans of getting together. In fact, there was a long rivalry that persisted between the Usos and Roman Reigns. But now the faction holds all the major titles that are currently working in the company, thus making them the top faction of the decade, especially in 2022.
