“Greatest Wrestlemania track record”: Former WWE Superstar praises Roman Reigns

The Bloodline

Roman Reigns is one of the biggest Superstars in the professional wrestling world today. He has been with the company for over a decade now, but his true dominance kicked off at Payback 2020. After a brief break from the company, Reigns returned to the company at Summerslam 2020 in a new Heel avatar and has never looked back since.

The Tribal Chief associated himself with one of the most creative minds in the business, Paul Heyman, and has been the Universal Champion for over 550 days now. Reigns successfully defended his title against the likes of Edge, John Cena and Finn Balor among others. But just one title wasn’t going to be enough for the leader of The Bloodline.

Hence, he kicked off a feud against the WWE Champion – which led to the greatest Wrestlemania match of all time. Universal Champion Roman Reigns collided against the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in the main event of Showcase of Immortals, in a Title Unification match.

Showcasing his dominance in yet another match, Roman Reigns went on to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. There is no doubt that he is one of the greatest performers on the roster today. But he has also headlined the Showcase of Immortals six times in his career, which is only second to Hulk Hogan’s record of 8 times.

Former WWE Superstar Top Dolla, mentioned on Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, “Roman currently has the greatest WrestleMania track record of big high-profile main events ever. Nobody wants to talk about that, but how many main events does Roman Reigns have at WrestleMania?”

The Tribal Chief has now won both the top titles on the main roster – and is the Unified WWE Universal Champion. But now the question was – what’s next? On the latest episode of Smackdown, Roman Reigns revealed plans, not for himself, but for The Bloodline.

Reigns wants his cousins, the Smackdown Tag Team Champions – The Usos, to go after the Raw Tag Team Championship. In fact, both the Tag Teams are now scheduled to appear across the main brands – with the Unifying titles match possibly taking place at Wrestlemania Backlash.
