WWE still undecided about bringing major change to Raw two weeks ahead of its $5 billion worth Netflix move: Reports
In about two weeks time, WWE will present arguably its biggest episode of Raw when it moves to Netflix for the next decade.

Beginning January 6, Monday Night Raw will start streaming live on Netflix. One would imagine that WWE must’ve figured out the specifics of the move. But they haven’t. Per Fightful, the company has yet to notify its superstars about the planned runtime for Raw on the OTT platform. A source told the outlet that one can’t rule out the flexibility in length of shows.
Does that mean WWE can alter Raw’s airtime on a weekly basis? Time will tell as there’s no such clarification on this front. The promotion recently announced that SmackDown will be a three-hour show as soon as the new year sets in, with its first live taping scheduled for Arizona on January 3.
The red brand is expected to follow suit, but the fans are awaiting official confirmation from WWE. The way they’re loading up the card for Raw’s Netflix premiere tells that they’d sorely need those extra minutes. Roman Reigns has been announced to compete on the show. That’d be his first TV match in almost 900 days.
He’ll take on Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat as the winner gets the custody of the Ula Fala. This one’s likely to main event the night in Los Angeles. Rhea Ripley will also hope to take down Liv Morgan in women’s title showdown. Another big-time matchup that the fans had been waiting to see for years will descend in the form of CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins.
Early reports suggested that this would be pushed back to WrestleMania 41. However, with ongoing speculation that Reigns might end up facing The Best in the World at The Show of Shows, Punk’s beef with Seth might not spill any further. They could renew their rivalry at some point in the future though.
What are the special attractions for Raw’s debut on Netflix?
The word is rolling on the streets that Raw on Netflix might be a game-changing proposition for WWE. Apart from high-stakes matchups, the company is committed to mixing it up with some mainstream celebrity involvement.
10-time Grammy Awards nominee Travis Scott will be in attendance. There’s no word on his exact role for the night. The Princess Switch actress Vanessa Hudgens has also been invited to stop by first Raw on Netflix. 16-time World Champion John Cena is already advertised for the show. He’s expected to get his farewell tour underway.
Another wrestler-turned-actor, The Rock, who happens to be The Final Boss of WWE, remains uncertain about appearing. A previous report from Fightful noted that those at the Intuit Dome were expecting the Black Adam star to be there. However, his current status is unknown.
