Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and India fast-bowler Navdeep Saini has taken to social media to wish his ‘dear mentor’ former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir on his birthday. Gambhir turned 39 today and wishes poured in from the cricketing fraternity. Amongst all those wishes, the one that stood out was the poignant thank-you message cum birthday wish from Saini.

Navdeep Saini has been shining for RCB in the IPL with his express pace and his showings in the IPL and in the domestic circuit rightfully earned him a call-up to the national team. Saini has represented India in 5 ODIs and 10 T20Is picking up 5 and 13 wickets respectively. He is being touted as the player who will lead India’s bowling attack in the future.

You stood by me and always cheered me up, and even when I wanted to give up on myself, you didn’t. It was your belief in me that made me who I am today. Thank you and happy birthday bhaiya ??”
