In Short
  • Dillon Brooks created a game called 'Unethical Hoops' to humorously troll Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
  • The game involves removing a basketball from holes without touching the surrounding rings, mimicking SGA's foul-baiting style.
  • Fans reacted positively, calling Brooks' trolling "genius" and "hilarious," despite Carmelo Anthony suggesting it undermines Brooks' villain persona.

Whenever a basketball fan hears the name Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, they usually relate to his foul-baiting and flopping antics. Every one of his opponents, including Canadian national team teammate Dillon Brooks, knows about it.

The latter plays for the Phoenix Suns and has faced his fellow compatriot throughout his time in the NBA. The forward knows about SGA’s surreal ability to score at will, despite all the trolling he faces.

It has come to the point where fans have been asking the NBA to fix this issue. They believe it is a bad look for the league and basketball in general.

But Brooks has a lot of respect for the Thunder superstar, as was evident from their embrace after the latter ousted the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs.

The Oregon star even went to support Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder when they were about to sweep the Los Angeles Lakers. Naturally, his history with LeBron James made the situation a headline. But he also knows how to troll SGA when needed.

Dillon Brooks joined hands with Underdog to create a game called ‘Unethical Hoops.’ The game has Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with several scoops around his body.

The task is to remove the basketball with miniature metal tongs from the holes without touching the surrounding ring.

The 30-year-old forward demonstrated by intentionally touching one ring while accidentally touching another. Whenever he did, a light on top of a referee lit up with the sound of a buzzer, signalling a foul.

Fans lose their minds after Dillon Brooks trolls SGA with the game

The entire concept of this game was as on point as it could get. Anytime a player touches one of the rings surrounding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, it’s a foul. It is the same situation that anyone faces in the NBA.

That is why the moment this video dropped, fans lost their minds. They felt that Dillon Brooks could not have thought of a better way to troll his fellow countryman. Check out examples of those reactions below.

It is unlikely that Brooks went ahead with this game without getting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander‘s approval. He may not have used the complete image and likeness of the OKC superstar, but no one can mistake the person depicted in the game as anyone else.

Carmelo Anthony wants Dillon Brooks to go all out with ‘villain’ image

Even though Dillon Brooks introduced himself as the ‘villain’ during this game unveiling, there is no doubt that he does not have any beef with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

We got beef if you showing up to the workplace and you trying to put this show on, you disrespecting me now. It ain’t about basketball no more… Keep it thorough all the way through.

Carmelo Anthony said on 7PM in Brooklyn

This is the Hall of Famer asking the Suns star to stay true to his image through and through. Since his Suns were swept by SGA’s Oklahoma City Thunder, he should not have shown up to joke around with his national team teammate.

Everyone understood he was there to troll LeBron James and support Gilgeous-Alexander. But that, to Carmelo Anthony, was Brooks not staying true to the identity that he created for himself, as it shows his double standards.
