WWE presented its latest edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event from Fort Wayne this weekend in what was the company’s first televised show from the area since 2014. The Vision‘s Logan Paul and Austin Theory defended the world tag team titles against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits.

The Vision, working on Paul Heyman‘s counsel, tried opting out of the matchup in the early going after getting outmaneuvered by the Profits. However, Ford and Dawkins chased them down in the aisleway and brought Paul & Theory back into the match. Both teams had several near falls as the action went on.

Ford, later in the match, wiped out the tag team champs with his breathtaking over-the-ringpost Tope Con Hilo maneuver. Just then, Bron Breakker came sprinting out and made a beeline to spear ‘Tez’, who got out of the harm’s way in the nick of time. Breakker was then launched into the commentary desk by Dawkins.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins tossed a vulnerable Austin Theory back into the ring. Dawkins slammed him to the mat to position Theory in the drop zone for Ford to deliver his splash. ‘Tez’ went for the cover, thinking that was it, but Paul Heyman had other plans. He placed Theory’s foot on the ropes to save the day for his protege.

A riled-up ‘Tez’ pressed Heyman at ringside and went to launch himself over ‘The Oracle’ but got caught mid-air by a right hand from Logan Paul, who smartly used the brass knuckles in the process. Paul threw a down-and-out Ford inside the ring before getting pounded over by Dawkins. In the ring, Theory took advantage of the chaos and pinned ‘Tez’ to retain the gold.

After the match, Bron Breakker speared both members of the Street Profits to stand tall alongside his Vision cohorts. Seth Rollins was notably absent from the proceedings. The fans were hoping for him to show up and assist the Profits in their pursuit of winning the tag team gold against The Vision.

However, it’s worth noting that Montez Ford told ‘The Visionary’ a few weeks ago on Raw that he and Dawkins didn’t need Rollins for becoming tag team champs. But after what went down at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it does seem like Tez and Dawkins will eventually have to turn to the creator of The Vision to take them down for good. A potential 6-man tag team match pitting Rollins and the Profits against Breakker, Paul, and Theory at Clash in Italy is seemingly on the cards.

Paige and Brie Bella, the team of Jade Cargill score impressive wins at Saturday Night’s Main Event

The women’s set of tag team gold was also defended at Saturday Night’s Main Event, with Brie Bella and Paige successfully retaining the belts against Nia Jax and Lash Legend. Speaking of their match, Jax dominated Paige early on and kept her on the backfoot until the English wrestler made ‘The Irresistible Force’ go shoulder-first into the steel ring post.

A languid Paige tagged Bella in, who brought a gush of energy with her, and she rained down those Yes kicks on Jax to take her out. Jax and Legend eventually tamed Bella and worked in tandem. But Paige dropkicked Lash into Jax, who had Brie down for the pinfall attempt. The ending saw Paige applying the folding press on Nia and got assisted by Bella in that sequence to aid the pinfall.

And just like that, Brie Bella and Paige remained the WWE women’s tag team champions, with their chemistry coming to the fore at Saturday Night’s Main Event. In what was a highly entertaining affair to kick things off at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the team of Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss went down to the trio of Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.

Some of the notable moments from it included Michin using the Styles Clash on Flair in a homage to her former running mate and WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles. Ripley and Flair were able to put their differences aside once both women saved each other on a couple of instances. Seeing them finally getting along, Alexa Bliss joined them for a group hug.

That was a critical error as Cargill took them out with a kick, followed by a big boot to ‘Mami’ and the Jaded to pin the reigning WWE women’s champion. The former AEW star made a statement with that just days before going one-on-one with ‘The Eradicator’ for the gold at Clash in Italy.
