Garrett Wilson is taking inspiration from the New York Knicks’ historic campaign, which could end with an NBA Championship title. But don’t expect the New York Jets wide receiver to attend one of the games at Madison Square Garden. Why? Because the tickets are expensive. Even for a top NFL athlete earning at least $30 million APY.
When asked whether he would attend the finals, Wilson gave a brief shake of his head and replied, “Nah!!! Them jawns expensive!”

Wilson’s not wrong. The ticket prices for the Knicks-Spurs game 3 at MSG start from $4,500 (nosebleeds) and climb to a staggering $107.0k (courtside first row), according to SeatGeek.
Man, I was looking at those prices this morning. I want to go so bad, but I don’t know if I can pull that trigger. Ticket prices for the Finals at the Garden are legally bank-robbing. I might just have to catch it on TV like everyone else.

The Knicks are riding an 11-game winning streak heading into the finals, where they will face off against the Spurs, who took down the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Knicks are vying for their first championship since 1973.

The Jets are seeking their first playoff bout that extended to the sixteenth year after finishing with a 3-14 record last season. There’s renewed optimism in the Jets facility in New Jersey. They added veteran Geno Smith as quarterback, and Aaron Glenn has one year of experience under his belt coaching in the league.

Moreover, a New York-based team is finally through to a major sports championship game. The Knicks went 4-0 against the Cleveland Cavaliers to qualify for the club’s first finals appearance since 1999. Wilson is taking inspiration from the Knicks’ success and aims to emulate the same with the Gang Green.
It’s cool to see. I’m glad I’m up here, I’m rooting for the Knicks like hell. That gives us a taste of what it might look like when we figure this thing out. We are excited for that opportunity.

Coach Glenn wants the Jets’ players to learn a thing or two from the Knicks.
That is a gritty team. It’s hard to be a gritty team without gritty players, and it all starts with the point guard. You can tell the leadership, the fight, everybody follows that, and it’s easy to follow that… You really see the influence that he has… Pulling for those guys. I really am because they play their a** off. It’s fun to watch.

The Jets last played postseason football in 2010. Quarterback Mark Sanchez led the Big Apple team as far as the conference title game, where they faced the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers proved too much to handle for the Jets as they went down by a 24-19 scoreline.
Garrett Wilson gives thumbs up to the Jets’ new offensive coordinator
The Jets’ offense finished fourth from bottom, averaging 263.6 yards per game, and scored a total of 30 touchdowns in 2025. They had the worst passing and second worst red zone offense out of 32 teams.
Glenn brought in former Colts and Panthers head coach Frank Reich as the team’s new OC. So far, Wilson has been very impressed by Reich’s methods.
It’s been great so far, honestly. This is probably one of the offenses that I’m going to look back on in a few years and love the most — it’s really player empowering, receiver empowering, skill position empowering.
