WWE Raw 06/01: Oba Femi Warns Brock Lesnar After Clash in Italy Setback
WWE is clearly headed toward hosting a third showdown between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar.

Oba Femi suffered his first WWE loss on the main roster this past weekend at Clash in Italy against Brock Lesnar. A night later on Raw, ‘The Ruler’ walked down that aisle with his body at less than a hundred percent after going through a war with ‘The Beast’ over the weekend. Femi won the first-round match in the King of the Ring tournament against the likes of Penta, Carmelo Hayes, and Solo Sikoa.
‘The Bringer of War’ was fighting the numbers for the most part. Sikoa’s henchman, the towering Talla Tonga, took Femi out at ringside thinking the 28-year-old was done for. But it wasn’t enough to keep him down. The Nigerian wrestler rose on the other side of the barricade and took everyone out piece by piece.
He ultimately pinned Sikoa after toss-slamming him and a Fall from Grace. Femi immediately called for a mic, and he addressed Brock Lesnar. ‘The Ruler’ affirmed that he was still standing and winning even after taking that beating from Lesnar, who jumped Femi before their match could begin and had to expend seven F-5s to tame the Lagos-born wrestler.

Oba Femi declared that he’ll win the King of the Ring tournament and will see a “coward” Brock Lesnar down the line. They’re even at 1-1, and it’s obvious that a third match between them is inevitable now. When could that happen? Several fans are under the impression that the trilogy-completing showdown will be a major highlight of this year’s SummerSlam.
There’s also heavy speculation about Lesnar hanging up his wrestling boots once and for all after going at it with Femi at SummerSlam, as it’ll be held in Lesnar’s adopted hometown of Minneapolis this August. Those within WWE also had the same feeling about Lesnar’s impending WWE retirement. ‘The Conqueror’ has faked it once, but he’s not going to do it over and over again.
While the majority of the fans are in for Lesnar continuing his beef with Femi, there’s a justified section of the fans questioning the gravity of the emotions that Lesnar’s apparent retirement at WrestleMania elicited. They believe the exact emotion couldn’t be replicated.
It felt genuine in the first place with both Brock Lesnar and his longtime manager Paul Heyman crying and hugging each other in the ring. Nonetheless, WWE has clearly braced itself for Lesnar vs. Femi Part III, the premise of which could be ‘The Beast’ screwing it up for ‘The Ruler’ in the finals of the KOTR tournament at Night of Champions.
Seth Rollins gets his revenge over Bron Breakker on WWE Raw
The main event of this week’s Raw was Seth Rollins taking on Bron Breakker. The latter’s counsel, Paul Heyman, distracted the referee on expected lines, allowing Austin Theory to pop up at ringside and hit Rollins with the tag team title belt. But Montez Ford evened up the odds for ‘The Visionary’ as he took Theory out.

It should be noted that Ford and Rollins reached a temporary consensus on combating the Vision together last week when Theory had brutally attacked Ford’s tag team partner, Angelo Dawkins. Circling back to Rollins vs. Breakker, the latter accidentally speared Heyman through the barricade when ‘The Architect’ stepped aside just at the right time.

Rollins had salvaged the tag title belt and was holding it wisely around his abdominal area to draw Breakker in and make him catch the belt first. ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ was riled up after inadvertently taking out Heyman and made a beeline to spear Rollins. However, the second-generation Steiner hit the championship belt and was stunned.

‘The Visionary’ then pulled out the Curb Stomp, and that was it. Rollins scored the pinfall victory over Breakker and avenged his loss at WWE Backlash in the process. ‘The Drip God’ also mocked Roman Reigns before the show went off air. ‘The Visionary’ has now turned his attention to the King of the Ring tournament, and he’d be gunning to take the world title off ‘The OTC’.
