Fans may have to wait a while longer before they can get their hands on the first signature shoe Nike is designing for Caitlin Clark, but they can purchase alternative custom PEs.

When it comes to signature models, PEs, or ‘personalized exclusives’ are never available to the public. They are created as one-offs for the brand ambassador in question, who may wear them on special occasions.

When Nike understood the demand for the custom Kobe Protro PEs Clark wore both during her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Indiana Fever, they knew they could not let go of the opportunity.

The superstar point guard wears Protro 5s and 6s, and the first PE available for purchase was the Indian Fever custom colorway. It sold out quickly and even quickly became a fan and athlete favorite.

Several NBA stars wear those shoes, a trend that has continued with her Light Armory Blue Protro 6 model that has become one of the most-worn shoes in the league.

Even her WNBA peers wear her custom PEs occasionally, as her ROTY Protro 6s also sold out in minutes. Since then, she has teased a few more colorways, but has not confirmed whether they will release.

Now, she has another one up her sleeve, and this time, it is closer to her heart. The 24-year-old took to her pregame warmups wearing a Kobe Protro 6 PE ‘Eras Tour’ colorway.

Naturally, using that name alone will require Taylor Swift‘s approval, as the tour garnered more than $2 billion in revenue. If Caitlin Clark is wearing it, she sure got her favorite musical superstar’s blessings.

Caitlin Clark’s Taylor Swift-inspired sneakers are her final PEs

Taylor Swift has made no secret of her admiration for the late Kobe Bryant. That, and her relationship with her ‘football coach,’ Caitlin Clark, made this custom Eras Tour PE a possibility.

These are my last PEs that I was going to debut, so I saved the best ones for last. Obviously, you guys know I’m a big fan of Taylor, and the Eras Tour was the best concert of all time.

Caitlin Clark revealed

To say that these were her best PEs is something coming from her, considering that many felt her Fever and ROTY PEs were closer to her heart.

She added that many kids were screaming and asking her to give away those shoes. But she cannot, as these are a one-off, which means they will not be going up for sale.

Caitlin Clark also wore a pair of friendship bracelets around her right ankle during the game against the Chicago Sky. She will likely get fined for it, as the league does not allow such accessories.

If the Iowa native is willing to go to that extent to honor her favorite singer, it will likely throw up rumors of whether she is a part of the 1000 guest list for Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding at Madison Square Garden in July.

Caitlin Clark chose the Fever’s return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to break open her Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour-inspired PEs. She probably knows about the upcoming wedding, and therefore, had to debut them before the media started picking up on the big day’s details.

But if she were to wear them, the point guard also had to make sure she did not end up on the losing side, as that would be the worst publicity of them all.

Against the significantly retooled and improving Chicago Sky, the task would not be easy, as Clark and her teammates found out late in the game.

Despite holding the lead on several occasions, the away side kept coming back and then forced overtime. The last time the Fever played in an extended period, they lost.

Clark and her closest teammate, Aliyah Boston, ensured there would not be a repeat. The duo posted 30-point double-doubles, which was enough to hand the Fever their second-straight win.
